I also notice that fan-bases are often too generalized.
First it's a single guy that flames or threatens people,
then other Smash threads say that entire thread is bad,
then other websites say Smash fans in general are bad
then people who don't games say gamers in general are bad.
Generalizations suck, dude.
We dealt with that in the K. Rool thread not too long ago. A couple of over-invested folks got really angry and we have people making memes of all of K. Rool's fans acting like that, and on several occasions had our thread threatened to be locked. Same thing happened with the Ridley fanbase.

I don't want to sound like I'm trying to attack or anything. Often times we mean something else but word it in ways we didn't mean to. I'm guilty of that stuff a lot, as evidenced in this very thread.
