Being well reviewed does not make a game not niche, the term depends on the size of the audience (in this case, it'd be small), not how well liked it is among that audience. For instance, pre-Awakening Fire Emblem is niche in the west because its audience was not that large here before the breakout game, yet it almost always had great reviews before then despite that.

That's the thing....every non-smash example people have is a 1st party Nintendo game. I'm not saying it's confirmed that he's in smash, but you can't ignore that he's got some strange things going on for him.

Neither are the Inklings, Chibi Robo and all the AC amiibos.


Go back to my last comment meaning that we can get non-Nintendo amiibos so we might see some from other indie devs, major publishers and other ones.

The amiibo is confirmed which means SK is going to be compatible with other Nintendo games

A lot of Western developers partner with Japanese companies for publishing.

Likely because they don't have their own affiliates in Japan.

Pretty sure that Square Enix has published some Call of Duty games or something in Japan.
