even more news, Smasified re-did Isaac a little
Well he doesn't look like he's had a stroke any more. But now he looks like he's trying not to laugh. Possibly at the reflection of his weird hair cut.

I have to laugh at you guys hating anime. Saying it's bad.

Then you give ratings for them. XD

I just don't know why people are so obsessed with Japanese culture.
Maybe for the same reason some Americans are overly obsessed with their own country. :4pacman:

I like all sorts of different cultures, but Japan is definitely a favorite since a lot of the stuff I enjoy mostly comes from there.

Blue, you can upload all the drawings in just one post, or yeah, just post a link to the popular Miiverse drawings section.
You are just literally copying the URL of all the drawings of that Miiverse section and posting them here in different posts, the pictures are also big and you are not using spoilers.

Yes Blue, put them in spoilers from now on.

Alternatively you can just put links.

''This piece of trash gets a 6/10 for it is only lightly stained and has only moderate amounts of bugs crawling on it."

''This garbage however gets a 9/10, because it is freshly thrown out, very little damage, no tears, and it still smells fresh. I would definitely dumpster dive to eat it."

Seriously, though what is up with throwing a whole medium under the bus by calling it trash though? It is literally impossible for an entire category or type of medium to be trash.

Isn't that whole "anime is trash" thing just lifted straight from the whole Miyazaki meme?

And I have not nearly enough information to take a personal stance on this issue, but for the record, it is far from impossible for an entire category/type of media to be trash. Unlikely, maybe, but altogether possible.

Because they see the worst of that medium and the fans it draws in and thinks it's all that.

Anime to people like that is either overly violent, overly lewd or overly cute. And it hurts to see anime get flak like this despite it having great shows that didn't have to be all action and fanservice but will ignore it because they look at the popular stuff.

Wait, the Hoopa event already happened!?
Okay so I've looked around, and checked bulbapedia and Serebii. The Hoopa event is still happening in Japan at the moment. I've found nothing on Hoopa being released in America or Pal regions, so has the Hoopa event actually happened outside of Japan yet guys?

By "missed Hoopa" she meant that she'd forgotten that the thing existed. Not that she'd missed an event.

"Anime are evil and are corrupting our children" ~worried mom

The real problem with anime are the fanbases, but every media has them, it's something natural like ****ty opinions and Geno debates in this thread

I thought it was about how she miss Hoopas

Thanks buddy, that is defiantly a load of my back.

Also all anime except for Yuri and One Piece is trash, just try to prove me wrong :awesome:

For the record I'm not entirely serious with this, but I find the only real genre I feel I can enjoy in anime, is only really Yuri, cause it won't fall into Harem shenanigans, which I've seen to many good animes do. And One Piece is fine for me cause the Mangaka made it clear in one of Q&As there won't really be any romance in One Piece, besides all the main characters are already in love

But then you know, why is that category or type of media considered trash? The only thing I can come close to thinking about being complete trash is the news, which only likes to focus on the negative, because the negative gets them ratings.

Meanwhile, creative mediums, have to have some form of good, right? Like why would it stick around for years and have fans if everything about it was trash?

People say this about anime, rap, country music, video games, comic books, pop music (which has evolved to a state where it's pretty much a mixture of just all the genres almost), etc.

Yet these things endure over time and change with it and the ''trash" argument stays with them there whole life.

Something doesn't add up you see? If a medium was just constantly spurning out bad product it'd have no market or value to stand on.

Another example: 'Fighting games are trash.'

That's probs kinda our fault.

Actually most Shonen manga writers avoid romance in general so be happy about that. Naruto in general had to get a studio and a writing team to do the Naruto: the Last because they didn't know how to write the romance between Naruto and Hinata.

If I ever did animation/comics, I'll pretty much save that whole schlock for the tail end of the series where it's easier just to time skip and let fans speculate what happen in between.

All the gen-VI starters would be awesome in Pokken (but then, I love them in general).

I don't have enough fitting favorites to pick five from each generation, but off the top of my head, Breloom, Heracross, Excadrill, Garchomp, and Ampharos would be pretty sweet.

Most shonen writers avoid romance because that's not the thing their target audience wants to read. Shonen is aimed at teenage boys, who will more often than not want to read something that's fighting based.

It's funnier if you use implications
You can slip it as family friendly, have parental bonus and shipteasing all with one sentence
That's why my works would be 90% implications and no one would actually know who slept with who

I didn't really mean from an objective perspective that everything could be bad in a certain medium. If that's what you were saying was impossible, then I probably agree with you. But I don't think people calling anime trash are arguing that it's literally 100% trash, more that the negatives are significant enough that they outweigh the positives to the degree that it's not worth consuming in its current form, and it is entirely possible that an entire medium could fit into that category in my opinion, though I don't know that I could name anything that does.

But then, the whole thing is honestly subjective because...everybody has different tastes, likes/dislikes, views of what's good/bad. I mean, you said that news is one kind of media that is close to being entirely trash, but there are people who will consume news forever and think that news is good (at least, their personal brand of news, whichever they think is the least biased or what have you). Then there are people who don't care for anime at all, whereas clearly a lot of people here and in other places disagree.

I say "anime belongs in the trash".

People proceed to quote my post and give a serious rebuttal.
