I don't know if the game was actually any good, but the demo for W101 was confusing and boring to play. If it wasn't actually indicative of what the game was like then they just made a bad demo.... it cost them at least on sale, though. I was hyped for the game before I played it, and I never gave it a second thought after.

The demo is certainly a terrible example of the game
That's dumb.
He's dumb. Weedle is life.

What's wrong with white paint? Make me think of a home makeover.
Especially now that MegaBeedrill is a thing. God is that thing scary

W101 Fans right now:

Anyways, I actually think the W101 is a very good game. There were a couple of instances that I had myself mashing buttons or getting frustrated on how to do things. Otherwise, it's a very good hidden gem on the Wii U I feel like.

Bayonetta 2 had a fun demo, though because I didn't have money, I didn't buy the game and there's no special edition with the first game anymore
There's Metal Gear Rising which is the biggest example.

Blade Wolf fight was something that shouldn't been on the demo. But instead the Metal Gear Ray fight

I'm not hating on it. All I did was poke fun at the sales. I've never played the game, it doesn't interest me.

It has nothing to do with a lack of involvement from Nintendo EAD or Miyamoto. I'm as big a Final Fantasy fan as I am a Nintendo one, so I'm hardly biased towards the works of Miyamoto.

I played that demo a few months ago, it was pretty stressful to get used to it.

Japan Loves Stitch: This really cannot be understated. Stitch often features more prominently than the likes of Mickey Mouse on Disney merchandise and publicity. To the point that there's the anime adaptation.
Japan has amazing taste after all

I meant in more of a comparison to Splatoon which had most of his advantages, aside from maybe being a multiplayer focused game and have easier controls to learn

It's because the way it teaches parrying that hurt it. If that didn't happen and was better implemented in the tutorial then it would have been better.

I can then if you play the real game, you should know parrying atleast until Monsoon because you can't beat him unless you're playing.

Parrying wasn't explained at all.
I brought up Lilo and Stitch earlier and was reminded about a gut-busting thing. Lilo feeds Pudge the fish because he 'controls the weather'. Lilo's parents died on a rainy day. There's a deleted scene in which Stitch kills Pudge. Damn, Disney really had a sad movie going on
Wait what? There's an anime?

It's simply called Stitch!
It changed Stitch's character and Lilo wanted him away from her in the beginning. I don't care if she's an adult there, you don't do that!

I don't get what Splatoon has to do with W101. At all. They're not even the same genre.

You might as well start comparing Animal Crossing and Madden.

Here's a question regarding the Direct:
Which scenario do you prefer?
A Direct on the 1st that promotes Smash DLC that will be available on the 15th or a Direct on the 15th that promotes Smash DLC that will be available immediately after the Direct?

It's fun to see new stuff and discuss it for a few weeks, but it's like knowing what you're getting for Christmas on December 10. I'd much rather have a Direct where the new content is available as soon as possible afterwards. The last Smash Direct, even though it basically spoiled beforehand, was fun because I got to try out all the new stuff right after officially seeing it. Hopefully that's the way the next Direct is set up.

One game got no marketing, the other had more than enough marketing. They had frozen. ****ing. Yogurt
And it was advertised at a Seattle Mariners game, A FREAKING PROFESSIONAL SPORTS EVENT (albeit the Mariners are 50% owned by Nintendo because Yamagochi was a big baseball fan). W101 has and never will eg something like that.

The same reason why Geno will never be playable. Because SE doesn't want people touching their toys

Plus it might be possible the Wii eShop title didn't sell enough for Nintendo to make it worth the effort of going through all that hassle with Squeenix again.

Well, I'm back (at least for a little bit, laptop isn't fixed yet).

Anything that I missed, besides that K. Rool leak? (I'm not looking through all those pages lol)

Considering that FFVI was on the Wii Shop Channel and not on the eshop along side the other FF games, that's a good explanation, especially as SMRPG had Culex, a Final Fantasy character
he's not really a final fantasy character but it does use some music from FF4

If we are having some DK games that was made by Rare on the wiiu eshop then why not SMRPG?, and Culex never appeared in a final fantasy game, SMRPG is still a Mario game and a part of Nintendo

My point was that SE refuses to let people use their IP recently, and considering it was a hassle to get it on the WSChannel in the first case. Microsoft allowed use of a Rare IP in DK64. Microsoft was easier to work with than SE

lol DK was never owned by Rare

You guys don't HAVE to remind someone about their character's chances (or lack thereof) whenever they post. (Especially when they didn't say anything about it) We don't want to turn this into a debate thread again :'(

Lilo and Stitch had it's own show in NA at least on Disney Channel. Was pretty good and the theme song was super catchy.

Comparing SMRPG to DKC. fun times

Here's the thing:

Nintendo owns 100% everything related to :4dk::4diddy:. Despite popular rumors going around, Rare owns nothing related to DKC. DK64 is more due to other situation which Nintendo couldn't get until now.

SMRPG's stuff aside from already established characters (:4mario::4peach::4bowser: and the cameos of :4link:&:4samus:) is all owned from SQUARE, not Nintendo. Smithy, Axem Eangers, most other characters and especially Mallow and Geno are owned by SE

Well, that's a relief. And don't worry, I still have that signature I need to upload for you...
Take your time, I'm in no rush. Besides I'm on mobile, I can't even see my signature :4pacman:

Microsoft let Nintendo use Jetpak. Microsoft, the competition, is easier to work with than SE.

That was easily something I regretted missing out on. It took me a few months to realize commercial breaks were in the middle so I missed out on my favourite Disney character

>Hulk Hogan was replaced by the Terminator

Still cool. Not the first time. Wrestling games used to have so much stupid and fun stuff in there. I guess people find it baffling now because it goes for the realism side of sports games.

It's why Madden went to crap because they focused to much on realism to where there aren't anymore licensed Soundtracks anymore

Replace all of them with a bunch of penises and you've got a realistic Miiverse community

Some Fridge Humour: Yzma's original plan probably would have worked so long as the potions weren't mixed up, but she decided not to go through with it because she wanted to save on postage. The entire movie only happened because she was too cheap to buy a couple of stamps.

LMAO this move has amazing Fridge stuff
