You know we always talk about the next Nintendo console but what about the handheld considering the 3DS is 5 years old next year and we don't know it's next successor or even if it's tied to the NX?

Thoughts. I kinda wish they drop the DS design and retire it and go to something similar to the Gamepad or even the Vita

Popular opinion is that the NX might be the successor to both the 3DS and the Wii U. It might be the reason they don't want to announce it until close to launch. It would dry up the sales of all their hardware.

This is very likely- the console market is dying there and handhelds are all the rage. To grab both the Japanese and overseas markets, a hybrid would be their ideal solution.

I think it's way too soon for a new console or a new handheld, the 3DS is 4 years old and the Wii U is just 3 years old.
The Wii U is finally recovering from the bomb it started and the 3DS is still going strong, announcing a new console AND a handheld is suicide.

I would like to see a new handheld, honestly. Doesn't even matter if the 3DS is close to being 5 years old or is doing well in sales; I just want to see a new one. Nobody knows what NX is still, so of course there will be a million thoughts.

edit: also New 3DS is nothing big. it's a revision; they can release the next big thing regardless.

Holy **** Ant Man is easily one of the best movies I've seen. Tv Tropes also agrees on me that it's Kamen Rider! Spoilered as it mentions the final boss

Both franchises have masked superheroes with insect themes. The costume resembles Rider designs, like the belt looking like the Transformation Trinket Rider belts. Scott does a thumbs-up like Yusuke Godai aka Kuuga. Yellowjacket also mirrors the evil Rider counterpart some shows have. Both hero and villain derive their powers from the same origin, an essential trait in Kamen Rider. People have also compared Yellowjacket to TheBee. (More tangentially, Kamen Rider J can grow to giant size like Giant-Man.)

I'm still of the opinion that Gematsu was real with outdated information. Every bit of information was given prior to a major Smash event, meaning that it's highly unlikely it was progressively obtained.

The stunning amount of coincidences that piled up make it far too likely. People overestimate how likely a lot of characters were and imo miss the point on how many were gotten right while the two it didn't have strong evidence of having been planned.

Villager had already been rejected from Brawl due to groundwork complications so he wasn't really expected
The fandom was very divisive on whether or not Mega Man would get in
Nobody guessed WFT
Mii Fighters is too specific of a name
X/Y Pokemon fits too well with the narrative Sakurai explained at E3 2014 and in and of itself wasn't considered incredibly likely due to how new the game was

Mac and Palutena were the only 9 to 1 guesses I can think of, but even then, there's never certainty with character guesses. Getting nine is highly unusual.
