I wouldn't say high demand, Isaac fans exaggerate his popularity, outside of those few that you see in forums, there's basically nothing, it doesn't help all traces of him were removed in this game(outside of music).
He's a much weaker K. Rool, you'll only see their fanbase in the internetb because they fell into obscurity and newer fans probably don't even know they exist, K. Rool's pro points are that he has naturally a bigger fanbase, appeared in recent(read:2009) games and is from a popular game franchise
Isaac was in two GBA games and made a cameo in Dark Dawn, his series is still obscure to the general public and, let's be honest, there are tons of much more popular and recognizable game franchises still not represented in Smash.
Now, if you excuse me, I have to hide in the mountains because the Isaac fans are coming after me

Isaac is an earthbender and you decide to hide in a group of giant rocks? Good plan
"No more 3rd parties for awhile" thank goodness. It was getting a bit ridiculous. Its probably my only chance to see wonder red in a smash style anyway

If his popularity is exaggerated, how does he constantly perform well in the fan polls? I know of at least one that was cheated but that's the only one Isaac scored higher than K Rool which we know isn't true, and it's an anomaly. Maybe off the internet, there's not as many people who know Golden Sun as Smash fans, but who else is voting on the Smash Ballot?
Don't get me wrong, there are other choices who are just as good or better than Isaac, but I do feel that he has one of the larger fanbases of the remaining characters yet to get in.
If they had a higher chance, wouldn't the work feel kinda redundant if they were officially revealed. A few already have very high amount of support (K. Rool/Isaac) to not needing a Smashified at all to get more support. That's just my opinion on the matter.
The first match I will do if Isaac gets in will be him versus Little Mac.
The only item will be assist trophies too just for the absolute hell of it :3
Plus an Isaac Amiibo would be Sweet/ Rare
I'm not sure if this has been linked yet but this is what Pokémon would look line running in Unreal Engine 4. PokéPark 3 or Ultra Super Mystery Dungeon anyone? ;~;
nope only reason id buy him if it were to happen is hes a character in smash....and as far as im concerned he originated in smash because if he's good i rather ignore that his games exist
So I know I might be going of Topic here.
But I happened to be listening to Sonic Rush's Soundtrack because it's amazing.
And one of the songs is titled "Get Edgy"
Now normally I wouldn't think about it too much.
But the fact that this game came out on the exact same day as Shadow the Hedgehog just makes me Chuckle.
They knew. They knew way back then.
All three absolutely destroy him. v. is especially horrifying because Kirby makes better use of the Monado Arts than Shulk... Seriously, Kirby with Buster and up tilts gets Shulk up to like 70% before he can do anything because his aerials come out as slow as molasses. Same with Mario and up tilts. And Sheik in general. I really wish Shulk's frame data was better.
This serves as the introduction to a (currently) 10+ page debate between @TheAnvil and myself. Let us know what side you are rooting for in the comments on the site!
We are going to break apart the debate into 2 parts. Probably.

My thoughts on the whole thing is this. It fans were similar to that of crazy cultists, all the characters were easily predictable &.
And last The Chorus Kids can burn and rot in Nintendo Hell along with the CD-I games and the Mario Porno. Sorry to those supporters but my bias against it relies solely on their awful design.

Nice article @Spazzy_D and @PushDustIn
! Can't wait to read part 2!
When it comes to Gematsu, I've always been Pro-Gematsu. There some things in the leak I do feel are, however, a little fabricated. The main one I think of is the Shulk reveal date as I believe the leaker knew stuff from the planning stages of development and just decided to release them late (so he most likely made the Shulk reveal up).
Otherwise, we knew Nintendo was planning DLC (not what the actual content is) from the game's code and Lucas ended up cut from the base game (it still strikes me as odd they would try to cut Ness as he was in 3 games at that point (I realize they tried to cut him in melee, but he was only in one game and less important at the time)).
Still, time will tell if anything drastic happens and potentially changes the current stages of this leak/rumor.
Yeah, I've always been pretty Pro-Gematsu too. Just because there were a few holes doesn't mean it's automatically illegitimate. It was right about quite a bit, and even the things it didn't get right were referenced later.
I remember all the way back post-E3 2014, I got in an argument regarding the Gematsu leak just before Monado Monday
It sure felt good for Captain Falcon to personally falcon slap everyone in the face

It's not like I didn't think it was the, like I said, that cult status made me hate the leak and then my bias against the Chorus Kids but that's something for another time
There was also the delusional Chrom fans who thought he was replacing the Radiant Hero.
You should know
Never **** with Ike and his fans. They love him more than a boring wannabe
I think the worst part about Gematsu are the Rythm Heaven fans that act like, suddenly, Chorus Men have a better chance of being in Smash, not only the series is not even that popular but it has much more recognizable and important characters

YES. And they aren't mascots of the series. The franchise has NO mascot or definite standout character above the rest. You have memorable characters but no standouts.
Plus its popularity is due to its music which I'm still pissed that there's no stage dedicated to them

Really? Rhythm Heaven is very popular in Japan. Way moreso than Fire Emblem. It definitely deserves something.
(Although just one character at most, Rhythm Heaven isn't character-centric, they just need a playable fighter with a moveset that greatly represents the franchise as a whole)

Actually, it's more that people suddenly started to think Chorus Kids were the character they never knew they wanted and they started supporting them in droves.
I don't get it. Why not the Wrestler & Reporter, or Karate Joe.
