I can understand some of the complaints from Awakening while just not understanding others:I may have liked both Radiant Dawn and Awakening, but I know that Radiant Dawn is superior in many aspects.
Radiant Dawn has better story, better written characters and more strategic gameplay.
Awakening isn't bad and actually introduced some neat concepts and a lot of the new classes brought freshness to the game, but in other aspects, it was a step down from Radiant Dawn. Aside a few exceptions, a good bunch of the characters were just one-dimensional walking anime character archetypes. There were few characters to actually have development.
Admittedly, I also like some anime that clearly has otaku pandering with fanservice and shallow characters, but I can't say I appreciate those anime as much as I did to others where there are actual characters, no fanservice bull**** and had an engaging storyline (Parasyte, Death Note, FMA Brotherhood...).
An analogy would be comparing fast-food, which is cheap and you can eat quickly in your break, but lacks flavor, to actual food, traditionally-made and with flavor, but more expensive.
This is pretty much my stance in regards to anime nowadays. There's the cheap otaku-pandering stuff that I can find entertaining, but doesn't have much impact, and there are the masterpieces that have quality storylines and have emotional impact in the viewer.
The quote is false, but he has said similar things. I actually edited my post to best reflect that.
The game looks too anime: Literally every game in the franchise uses an "anime" artstyle
Too easy: This comes mostly from the fact that Pair Up destroys any strategical placement that would be needed and makes it become "pick your strongest unit and go crazy"
Fake difficulty: In Lunatic mode, it turns FE into "Down-B: The Game"
The Story: I dunno, I tried playing Rekka no Ken and they tried to throw as much exposition as possible as soon as I finished the second chapter. Awakening had a good pace overall and I felt the story was well written, though I didn't play other FE games, so it may be in comparison to others
Fanservice: There are 3 maps dedicated to it, yup!
Also, most playable characters don't get any character development outside of supports
Didn't they say the character wasn't a silent protagonist? I don't know much about Bomberman but I don't think he has any dialogueThere was a problem fetching the tweetnext smashified is bomberman from the looks of it.
Twitter background is bomberman-esque right?
dissapointed it is another 3rd party
