I think it's finally time to lay my GC controller to rest. My c-stick has become less and less responsive over time. The last time I did it, I got 2-3 out of 6-7 presses.

Goodbye old friend.....after we're done testing the dlc and I actually have time to get a new controller.

So what does everyone think of the DLC characters.

Well, I haven't got Lucas yet, but I will get him once I have enough e-shop credit.

Anyways my thoughts on the other two DLC characters:

Roy - Its been a long while since I've last played Roy which was back in Melee. Overall, I do enjoy his moveset which does seem to slightly differ from his Melee inclusion. Loved his concept design and especially his Final Smash.

Ryu - Very happy to have him in Smash. Its pretty much a good thing that I played the Street Fighter series and that way, I can familiarise with the mechanics which were transitioned to Smash. Overall, very impressed with how Sakurai and his team got Ryu to work within the game.

I wonder... How much more DLC do you think there'll be?

I reckon at least another 4-6 more I'd say.

I don't feel like trying TK inputs with ryu since I dont think it'll be useful, but maybe later.

EDIT: I tried tk inputs and they work fine. I'll experiment to see if a tk hurican kick is better for recovery.

Managed to get an eshop card and download the new fighters! Quick thoughts:

Love Lucas! Feels very natural to me and plays even better than he did in Brawl! Definitely my main along with Olimar again.

Roy seems much more powerful and fun to play than in Melee. Going to add him as a secondary.

Ryu's fun to use, though it's going to take some time to get a hang of his moveset.

So Lucas and Roy are hella fun, especially in FFAs. And of course, Dream Land 64 is love, Dream Land 64 is life (although I'm just as prone to SDs when under the ledge).
