I wrote, like, two actual fanfics in the past.

The first was a Pokémon one. It got lost due to the computer getting ****ed by a lightning storm.

The second one was a HUGE Skyrim fanfic that got deleted by my ex girlfriend.

Funnily enough, despite being a writer I've never made a fanfic. I've tried, but I could never finish one.

All of my fan-ficcery came from roleplays, 30-minute prompts and other such things.

There's nothing wrong with fan fics guys. I've been told that by multiple industry writers at my school so far. As long as the writer isn't taking it as some absolute fact or something along those lines, or getting way too into it. It's all in good fun, and it's just people showing their love for the characters, world and stories they're writing for.

I've started several, but never seem to finish any either LOL.

Oddly enough I find that I write fanfic worse than I do original fic. But at the same time I want to write both.

And yeah, there's a certain odd elitism on the internet that fanfic writers are horrid for not writing something that can be profited off of, which honestly makes me want to write it way more than otherwise LOL. That and the whole freakout that results from it.

I mean, there's tropes in fanfic that want to make me bang my head against things sometimes, but Once Upon A Time uses pretty much all of them simultaneously and that gets to run for seven seasons on national television so hey that's just my taste talking.

I'd really like trying to write a fanfiction when I have the time, having something to base your story on really helps writing practice since you can focus on just overall writing and dialogue.

I noticed that during Pokemafia.

Feel like I squandered a fair share of the potential but had its benefits. Historically I've been so far up my own ass with worldbuilding for my projects that I've never done anything with the world.

Probbaly the first game I learned to play fully and was the game of my childhood, influencing my imagination and therefore even the toys I would want. Before owning my own copy I would always go to my neighbour 3 floors down - a very special family friend to my mom and me - just so that that kind old man would let me play it and teach me a very complex game a 4-5 year old. To this day, I still play this fun brilliant game, and remains the game I spent more time in than any other. Without this, I would not be the same type of gamer I am now, perhaps not even be a gamer right now. It definetly helped shape who I am today.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies
Was one of my only games on the DS, my first console and the first game story to truly imersive me in it's world. lt is full of emotions and enjoyment I never felt before from playing a video game. Made me realise how many games and experiences were still out there to be discovered. Beat it 3 times and then 2/3rds of it again.

Bayonetta
Captivated me from the very first time I saw her in a trailer. The story was mysteriously and hilariously great and it was probbaly the most mature game I ever played at the time. The game and it's sequel I experienced immediatley after speak for themselves. Fully enjoyed every moment.

Super Smash Bros for 3DS
Smash trailer in E3 2013 was the first time I saw a Smash game and it looked so good and so hype that I did not forget about it (believe or not, Ive seen a little of smash before...) I journeyed through speculation, leaks and hype since the very start right after that reveal, and shared many awesome moments with the very same community I spent hours arguing with to finally play it was amazing, therefore I generally enjoyed the handheld version more. The game itself is super fun and addicting. It also has Bayonetta playable, so there's that!

Like damn I have this whole four-part Fire Emblem novelization project planned out in my mind that'd cover Shadow Dragon, Shadows of Valentia, New Mystery of the Emblem, and Awakening that'd go more in depth on lots of plot aspects while removing a lot of the filler, but damn it all it's gonna take a long time to do, haha.

I think a lot of my issue comes from the fact that I hate uploading things in an incomplete state, but at the same time uploading chapter by chapter would give me more incentive to finish it.

To say nothing of the two Pokémon fics, three Fire Emblem fics, and a Smash fic that are also on the back burner.

Same for me and Pokemafia.

Perhaps I misread what Opossum said somewhat, but I still imagine he wasn't trying to be harsh regardless even though he may of accidentally. Although I do agree with Coricus here: he is a lot younger then us and is still learning, and I don't think being harsh to him is going to help him learn at all, quite frankly.

I understand we all make mistakes, and we can sometimes repeat mistakes even after we learn from them, but we're human beings, especially to those who are younger. Their minds are still developing, as in the case of Shiny, hence the reason why I don't think we should be too harsh on him and allow him to learn from these experiences.

Oh, that's good, that'll help it reach a significantly wider audience. Sure it's already pretty popular but if it hopes on becoming as big as past Shonen Animes it needs to get kids to watch it.

Every single time you really mess up badly, the same thing happens;

1. You do the bad thing without realizing it's bad (hopefully), which leads to everyone bringing it up.
2. You realize what you did.
3. You overexaggerate your reaction, thinking people will ignore you for what is essentially a tiny mistake. (optional)
4. You either beat yourself up or make a pity party hoping for hugs and cookies. Usually both.
5. You end up making a bad thing again on a different day.
6. Rinse and repeat.

This, combined with all the times we've proven that you don't always read our posts (including the ones you "like") as well as all the times you've decided to ignore any advice we'd tell you when you needed it, makes me wonder if you ever truly learn from what we say.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't change the fact that I get that feeling from moments like this.

We lay ground rules, keep it up for a month or two. Perhaps there's stakes, perhaps just glory. Most successful checks wins the wager, but I assure you, we both profit.
