Mario Kart: Super Circuit.Yes, sir.
So everyone.... what is a game or movie that you find very underrated?
Will post mine soon.
Not even gonna ask what netorare and ryona are because I'm positive I'd rather not know,Seeing as everyone is talking about doing it, I think I'll try to write something about the idea that I have. Don't expect me to join any challenge because I don't need any more deadlines.
Someone somewhere has probably already thought of it but I've never seen it put into practice so I'll leave a tease

For me this also a bit of tough pick... Since there really isn't much game that influence my life.. I think4 most influential games?
-Metroid Prime
-Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
-Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
-Xenoblade Chronicles X
With about a dozen or so honourable mentions...
But did you do the Yuri part of the joke, no? Then I can have that.A lot of people still play it, yeah. They just don't really talk about it anymore. My guess is just because there isn't a lot to say.
I'd be interested in seeing a Smash Bros fanfiction where the characters aren't out of character.
TBH, you'd expect a game as popular and varied as Smash to have a lot of interesting fanfictions, but it's mostly crappy romance between Melee characters and boring standard conversation between multiple characters.
I feel like there's a lot that could be done with Smash, but not much is, all things considered.
Sorry, I already beat you to the genderbending thing.
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.Yes, sir.

If they made it more Japanese, I think it would of been a hit.Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. if we're talking about one-off things.
Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon if we're talking about entries in a franchise.
S.T.E.A.M. was a phenomenal game that bombed in Japan due to being "too American" and falsely accused of jingoism, and underperformed in the US due to strategy games not being as big here. Add in the clunkiness of the demo that was fixed in an update, and you have a masterpiece that deserved much better than what it got.
I do like dark atmosphere in games, like Brawl. So I see your point. As long as they got good characters, a show / game is fine in that criteria.Shadow Dragon gets too much flack for areas it doesn't really deserve to get flack in. The death gaidens are meant to be a compensation thing for Iron Man runs, not a reward for character deaths. The graphics aren't even that bad save for Medeus himself, and honestly I appreciated the darker atmosphere with the character portraits. No supports was a drawback, yeah, but the map conversations that did exist were great. Add in fun gameplay and great writing and it honestly ranks high on my list of Fire Emblem titles. Lots of the characters may be filler, but the ones they do go into are some of my favorites in the franchise.
I wouldn't know for sure as I don't go looking for Smash fics very often, but I wouldn't be surprised. Crossover shipping seems to be......fairly popular, in many fandoms. Smash no doubt sees a high amount of it because it's a crossover to begin with.I'd be interested in seeing a Smash Bros fanfiction where the characters aren't out of character.

If I'm correct, ryona is images of people beat up/being beaten up. Basically that, but worse. Not sure what the other one is though. Not even gonna ask what netorare and ryona are because I'm positive I'd rather not know,
YES!Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
Any hints? So, since we were all talking about fanfictions, I dare one of you lot to find my fanfiction account.
Well neto sounds like neko which is cat, which starts with a hard C like cuck, so clearly it's that one.One of them is just a japanese word for cuck but I'm not telling you which one
Im a simple girl, I hear Billy Hatcher, I likeI think this game was mentioned earlier, but Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg is an absolute treasure that didn't get the credit it deserved.
It's certainly a bit rough with its collision and platforming here and there (looking at you, Egg Rails and Giant Palace as a whole), especially in the late-game, but the game itself is just so clever, charming and unique. Beautiful locals, unique gameplay, adorable story and morals, it was an absolute joy to play and remains one of my favorite gamecube games. It's just a shame it's pretty much what solidified Sonic Team never branching out from just Sonic anymore.
Plus, one of the most jamming boss themes ever.

Checkmate.
That's not how linguistics works.
Oh, I just looked up netorare. Netorare is NTR.Not even gonna ask what netorare and ryona are because I'm positive I'd rather not know,
You're actually correct. Just for the wrong reasons.Well neto sounds like neko which is cat, which starts with a hard C like cuck, so clearly it's that one.

I've always thought the De Blob games were really fun, but I never see any people talking about them anymore. Or much at all in the first place.Yes, sir.
So everyone.... what is a game or movie that you find very underrated?
Will post mine soon.
I remember them, yes. However, I never actually played them.I've always thought the De Blob games were really fun, but I never see any people talking about them anymore. Or much at all in the first place.
Does anyone here remember those games?
OBJECTION!Im a simple girl, I hear Billy Hatcher, I like
Marth probably gets the out of character treatment the most from what I've seen. It's also a fantastic litmus test for who knows him from Smash and who knows him from Fire Emblem.TBH, you'd expect a game as popular and varied as Smash to have a lot of interesting fanfictions, but it's mostly crappy romance between Melee characters and boring standard conversation between multiple characters.
Isn't that basically fetishized cuckolding?Oh, I just looked up netorare. Netorare is NTR.
I've only ever heard it referred to as NTR, but yeah, I know what that is.
I think it's when in fiction, the main character's love interest gets taken away from them by someone else.
Basically that, but a lot worse.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions comes to mind.Yes, sir.
So everyone.... what is a game or movie that you find very underrated?

What did I just walk into.Isn't that basically fetishized cuckolding?
Yeah, definitely.Marth probably gets the out of character treatment the most from what I've seen. It's also a fantastic litmus test for who knows him from Smash and who knows him from Fire Emblem.![]()
Yep:Isn't that basically fetishized cuckolding?
Basically that, but a lot worse.
Blizzard bought em. They were brought in to finish StarCraft: Ghost when Nihilistic dropped out.Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.
Rarely in my life have I picked up games on a total whim without knowing what they are, but this was one of those times when I was a kid and damn that game was fun, challenging, and hilarious.
But it didn't sell very well and I think Ape Studios got bought out or something and the possibility of a sequel went down the drain.
You want in on the challenge?Talking about all this almost makes me want to just go ahead and try my hand at writing a fanfic right now, lol.
I have a gut feeling a lot of people who wrote for Marth in Smash fanfics probably know next to nothing about his source material.Marth probably gets the out of character treatment the most from what I've seen. It's also a fantastic litmus test for who knows him from Smash and who knows him from Fire Emblem.![]()
you have fantastic tastes! I fully agree on this. An hd remake with online play could be amazing. It’s a shame he was cut last sonic racing game. Hopefully If this new racing game has swag characters than billy returns as he deserves it. A truly underrated gem that could use some love in modern day.I think this game was mentioned earlier, but Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg is an absolute treasure that didn't get the credit it deserved.

A lot of the times it just seems like they make Marth a hyper-exaggerated version of his Awkward Zombie self. That version is already pretty far from canon (done for comedy of course) but people take that and take away the comedy and nuance, leaving a character who isn't even Parody!Marth, never mind Canon!Marth.Yeah, definitely.
Really, the Fire Emblem characters get it the worst, from what I've seen.
Yep:
You don't. Both are horrible, especially that first one, for how sickeningly popular it is in Japan. Not even gonna ask what netorare and ryona are because I'm positive I'd rather not know,
Didn't think of it that way. InterestingI'm playing Crystal Clear. A ROM hack of Crystal. My starter is Elekid and I obtained Sneasel from the Casino, but I boxed him after deciding I wanted a Psychic-Type on my team.
Anyways...
Team:
Elekid: Lvl 24
Drowzee: Lvl 24
Magmar: Lvl 23
Gloom: Lvl 22
Quagsire: Lvl 24
That's NOTHING comparing to one dream I had as a kid (before you were born) about Melee.I had a dream and Elma was part of it. She stared at me and I woke up.
Also he wrote a fanfic about pong paddles farting at one point.
Hmm......You want in on the challenge?
Can put you in the tag list.
I mained the hell out of Billy in All Stars Racing and Zero Gravity. I owe a lot to that game for opening my mind about a lot of other SEGA brands like NiGHTS, Samba De Amigo and Jet Set. It started my journey as a Sega fanboy.you have fantastic tastes! I fully agree on this. An hd remake with online play could be amazing. It’s a shame he was cut last sonic racing game. No. If you want a hint, ask Shishoe for my old account names. If I'm correct, ryona is images of people beat up/being beaten up. Basically that, but worse. Not sure what the other one is though.
YES!
THANK YOU!
Super Circuit was my first Mario Kart game, and I love it! I remember being so happy when the DLC packs for Mario Kart 8 were first announced to have Cheese Land and Ribbon Road.
I remember being pretty ecstatic about it.
Any hints?
You forgot the Phoenix Wright gifI remember them, yes. However, I never actually played them.
OBJECTION!

There are no likes under this post! There is a clear contradiction in the witness' testimony!
just kidding.
Agreed, you should see the way Luigi is portrayed, instead of his coward lion persona, a lot of people turn him into a emo who thinks Mario doesn't love him. While I agree that nailing tons of personalities is difficult, even Smash bros fanfics that only feature 2 or 3 characters have at least one of those characters being wildly out of character for no particular reason. It's just a kinda annoying.
You get back here and talk about Doujins like a good boy.*sees doujin talk*

Ah yes.and falsely accused of jingoism,
Amen, Swamp. Like holy **** some of the stuff people accused it of was pretty damn bad, mainly because it shows how little they knew about it.Ah yes.
The multiethnic, multi-national cast that parodies a country is a surefire sign of a jingoistic game.
Those darn Americans must have sneaked into Japan to make this game to make a game about how great America is (even though the game doesn't do that).
Also, did you hear how racist the game is? They have ethnic characters that are stereotypes. I guess I could accept that this game is using pre established characters and lore and that they expand upon the characters to make them more interesting, competent and in control while still sharing the same history of the original character but...
That would never happen in such a jingoistic game.
The crock that Codename S.T.E.A.M. had against it was asinine.
Like, you gonna get mad at Queequeg's portrayal? You read the original story? Dude's had his character improved 1000 fold. Sheesh.
Unless you've deleted and since created a different account, I can just check your account names on your profile page, which I did.No. If you want a hint, ask Shishoe for my old account names.

Also if one of you finds my account, you might be surprised by one of the stories, it has a straight pairing in it.
Wait, Americans got upset at a piece of fiction from a foreign country, that didn't dunk on them for once? You know since it portrayed all positive aspects of American cultural up to eleven. Seriously why would Americans be upset about a piece of fiction that didn't dunk on them for once.Ah yes.
