I also remember my times as Young Alpha playing Pretend Pokemon.

I remember arguing with my childhood best friend because "What kind of Pokemon is Ho-Oh? Ho-Oh isn't real." I only played Gen III at the time, and I think this was before Pokemon Colosseum was released. Or before I saw Ho-Oh in the anime or as a Pokemon card.

Young Alpha wasn't the brightest.

This also reminds me of an accident that same childhood best friend and I had during a trade. I think I was having trouble with the Elite Four, and so he traded me his starter, Swampert, to help. I show trust that I'd trade him back, I sent him my level 66 female Swellow. Something went wrong during the trade, though. We both went back to see if the trade went through. We both had my Swellow, but Swampert was nowhere to be found. He was devastated. I think that week I went out and got an Action Replay, spawned in a Mudkip, and raised it to a Swampert for him. Leveling didn't take long with x99 rare candies.

I wonder how many Bad Eggs I still have in the PC?

I remember when in my pretend games, Mario was a Pokemon trainer and he caught a Shiny Corsola and a Charmander..

The 4-move restriction makes it so you have to actually balance your Pokemon's moveset and not just throw whatever's best for the next battle.

But does it really? The games are balanced for little kids to play them, and most kids don't think any further than leveling up their starter until it can beat every other mon in the game on its own.

The way I see it, there isn't any benefit from it. Kids will just fill their move slots with STAB moves and competitive players raise new Pokemon that can just learn those moves by levelling up naturally, teaching one of the infinite-use TMs or just breeding it outright.
If you want to change moves for PvP battles, move relearner is a thing and ever since SM it's laughably easy to get Heart Scales, alongside the fact Tutor and Egg moves can be relearned through it since XY.

But for the main quest? The difficulty drops because you can have min-maxed movesets for every single battle. In the end it adds nothing and only removes part of the challenge.

Kinda weird that some people don't want character customization in Pokemon. I mean, if you REALLY don't like it you could always just use the default options. You don't have to buy new clothing.

This specific person talked about how when there is customization you play as yourself instead of another character. He didn't like the idea of playing as himself.

Do the majority of people actually try to make their character look like themselves or feel like they HAVE to make the character look like themselves? The character I have is probably almost literally the opposite of me.

Fifty pages for a fan-fiction is impressive, not going to lie.

Closest thing I've come to fan-fiction is making my own characters and backstories, or making plots for games I'd like to see. Currently going through ideas for my ideal Star Fox game. Haven't really wrote much yet, other than scratch and ideas, but the idea is to make a plot that would last as a trilogy.

For my main 4, I'd go with these(for the moment)

I can name more than a few shows of theirs that were very short-lived. Gravity Falls was a big help for them when it moved. It didn't even premiere on that channel. It was a Disney Channel program until it got shifted over, and I'm fairly certain the same thing happened with Star Vs. Now, Star's coming back to Disney Channel for it's fourth season.

Wander over Yonder was doing pretty well, but it just got screwed over by the network when they refused to renew for another season and very slowly burned off it's remaining episodes.



I suspect most of that good programming is going move straight over to Disney Channel soon. Ducktales and Star Vs. have already been confirmed. No word on Mil Murphy or
any of their other animated shows just yet, including Marvel shows and the Pokemon anime. Only some of their original animated series have been announced to make the move so far. And there's no confirmation that the channel is actually shutting down as of yet either. Though people have good reasons to consider that it could be.

On the bright side, this might also mean that Disney Channel is finally going back to it's roots with more quality animated shows and less run of the mill teen sitcoms. I sure hope it does, anyway.

I'm pretty sure that new Spider-Man cartoon airs on regular Disney Channel, but after Disney XD shows it off first. They might do the same with Ultimate Spider-Man re-runs too, don't know for sure on that one.

Funnily enough, despite being a writer I've never made a fanfic. I've tried, but I could never finish one.

All of my fan-ficcery came from roleplays, 30-minute prompts and other such things.

There's nothing wrong with fan fics guys. I've been told that by multiple industry writers at my school so far. As long as the writer isn't taking it as some absolute fact or something along those lines, or getting way too into it. It's all in good fun, and it's just people showing their love for the characters, world and stories they're writing for.
