Joined in on the GamesStruck4 hashtag on Twitter, might as well share my games here.

1) Halo: Reach - Reach was probably my most anticipated game launch ever for me. First midnight release I went to as well. Definitely one of my most played games, with so many great memories. Reach had it all for me; Great campaign, fun multiplayer, amazing armor customization, creative custom games, awesome forge mode, etc.

2) Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Brawl was the first game I ever really followed leading up to release. Every day started with a search for news on the Dojo. Even though the gameplay was slow, the game was still fun, had Subspace Emissary, had the best roster, and always kept me entertained. Project M, although different, really made me appreciate Brawl even more.

3) Pokémon Sapphire - Although I like to group RSE/ΩRαS together, Sapphire was my first Pokémon game. One big reason why I hold such favoritism towards Hoenn. Sceptile is my favorite Pokémon partly due to him being my first, Hoenn's my favorite region, the music is my favorite in the series, Archie's my favorite antagonist, etc.

4) Star Fox: Assault - Over the past year, my appreciation for this game has skyrocketed. During the drought of Star Fox games, Assault's formula was what I wanted any future games to grow on. Then Zero happened, and even though I enjoyed it, didn't save Star Fox like I had hoped. I realized the impact that Assault had on me when I found some Arwing and Wolfen clay models I made when I was around 8 years old, and hadn't seen them in well over a decade. If I could have one gaming-related wish, it'd be for Star Fox to become a best-seller on Switch.

Unfortunately, three of these four series kinda fell from grace in my eyes. Halo went down a bad path, especially with Halo 5. Smash 4 started adding too many Fire Emblem and 3rd Party characters for my likes, really souring my hype for the series' future. Nintendo can't get Star Fox to outgrow Star Fox 64's shadow. And Pokemon, well, Pokemon is still going strong.

This is the best thing about Ni No Kuni and Pokemon needs to adopt it stat. You've got four active moves, and outside of battle you have a menu with every move the monster has previously learned and from it you can choose your loadout.

The four move limit is a stubborn holdover from when the game had to fit on a 1 mb cartridge.

When Swamp was a Little Swamp, Little Swamp would do exactly this when he would play pretend Pokemon at recess.

This would be a dream come true. There are no real downsides.

I personally don't think a mechanic that would allow you to switch between all of your Pokemon's moves at will should be a thing, at least not for the main game.
The 4-move restriction makes it so you have to actually balance your Pokemon's moveset and not just throw whatever's best for the next battle.
