I think they all should be costumes for Olimar if they don't plan on upgrading Alph.

Japanese voice actors pretending to be kids... It is definitely a weird noise. I suppose it would be in America as well, but we mostly use women for the higher voice.

I mean no pokemon outside of gen 1 appear in Kanto so they could make regional variants of other gen pokemon in Kanto if it gets remade again.
There's not a ton of regional differences in Kanto's environment to justify that I don't think. If that wasn't the case, then Gen 3+ Pokemon could get some(Johto's too close for that to be reasonable.). Not to mention, they'd probably just replace those with a new gimmick anyway.
Since it's supposed to be a reboot and not a remake Kanto probably won't be the same place we've seen before

I like them! They're great comic relief when they need to be (Neptune, of all people, being hydrophobic was hilarious, to say nothing of "We have badges so you know it's official") and I may or may not be Sun/Blake trash but still. Haven't seen them yet in 4 but I'm banking on them showing up whenever Blake does (or at least Sun).

If it makes you feel any better it took me until midway through volume two to realize Weiss was a Snow White reference, despite Weiss Schnee meaning White Snow in German.
