They always did this before y'know. I recall the Direct on 4/1/2015 was one day prior. And funny enough, people thought it was an April Fools jokes lol.

I will definitely do my favorite 100 fictional characters list. There are 242 candidates that COULD make the top 100 list. Forms of media include: television (both western and eastern/anime), movies, and video games.

I don't know about that; Roy and Ryu were datamined well before their Smash 4 announcement, complete with the videos that you get for clearing classic.

If Eight from Dragon Quest gets in Smash even as Erdrick’s Alph, Nintendo and Square would have made my month for the good. He is a character whose reveal would make me cry tears of joy, since he means a lot to me as a player.

I'm glad to finally see us get a Direct. I honestly wasn't sure if we would get one at all (since they usually announce it two days in advance, if I recall correctly), but I'm glad that there is one.

Nice to see us get more information on Three Houses, since we haven't heard anything since E3. I'm hoping we see something from Prime 4, but since it very recently restarted development, that's very unlikely to happen.

Hopefully we'll actually see some gameplay of Joker and a release date as well.

Oh, I might actually miss it depending on whether or not my course happens tomorrow. There is a snowstorm coming in and it's supposedly staying around tomorrow as well. Well, if I don't miss it, fine. If I miss it, fine.
At least if I do finish my stuff tomorrow, that means I'm finally done. I was supposed to be done last week, but couldn't do it last week as the pool was closed due to weather. My instructors mentioned that I am going to do a make-up lesson for missing last week, but don't know when my make-up lesson is currently, especially if the snowstorm does continue tomorrow.

Corrin 2.0 would imply Edelgard is an Avatar character, which I'm pretty sure she's not. If any character is hinted to be the Avatar, it's Byleth. Unless Edelgard is a "Choose your Kouhai" character.

I meant in the way that Corrin was a character that some peoples wanted to see in Smash based for the most part due to their design and cool abilities alone, which was fine and dandy when us western players didn't have the game in our hands, until their actual personalities and role in the story in their game was revealed to be for the most part underwhelming no matter how you slice it, leaving them in a weird place as Smash characters. (didn't help their were the only Nintendo newcomer out of all the Smash 4 DLC & that FE had already alot character being playable, but that's another topic entirely)

Sure, Edgegard isn't a avatar character compared to Corrin, and we don't know if her character and role in the story will be great or bad for that matter until we have the full game in our hand, but until then, just wanting her because she use a axe or any other reasons like that is kinda worrying to me.

That being said...

Ah, top lists with fictional characters are always fun!

Writing a top 100 is a daunting task though, at least for me. I can only really think about a top 20 on my end.

But I'd be interested in reading yours! I think a good time to do it could be during a time when you introduce the topic, and maybe some of us might make a top list of our favorite fictional characters of our own!

I don't really know what to expect for the Direct; I'm just hoping for some Bayonetta 3 news. It's been over a year since the teaser trailer, and we haven't seen anything since.

On a non-Direct related note, I'm gradually making progress in Donkey Kong Country. I've reached Candy's save point in Kremkroc Industries Inc., which is a huge plus. (now if I lose all of my lives, I don't have to start from the beginning of that area)

I'm at Poison Pond at the moment. I was worried that the toxic water would reverse my controls or something, but nope - it's just green water. Though the water does make it harder to see enemies like piranhas, which blend right in with the background, and the level seems to be designed so that enemies seem to come out of nowhere.
