Ohayo gozaimasu! New Years Eve is upon us! I live in the Eastern time zone of U.S.A., so less than 16 hours before the new year. By the way, one of my cousins-in-law celebrates a birthday today and would of been 42 years old but late 2016 she passed away from a two-year-long battle against cervical cancer. My step-family has had her in their memory since.

Sa...as we close out 2018 and herald in 2019, I do believe this is a good time to share my best memory of this year. My best memory of 2018 was when I mitigated my pecuniary hardship. Worked the polls a couple of times; washed my stepmother's car in the spring for a surprising $100; had jury duty for three days; even gained another $25 this past Christmas. Because of this, my video game library is slowly but surely growing. This has also influenced me to better allocate my income and expenses.

Sa...this leads me to ask y'all something: what is your fondest memory of 2018? I bet one of them is that Smash Ultimate was indeed a fact and y'all were hyped as hell, ain't it? Well, me too and I promise I will get Ultimate sometime in 2019, even if I do not own a Switch yet. Shikashi, any fond memory other than that?

My fondest memory of 2018?
Graduating college. It feels great to use what I learned in college in real life right now as well. I miss dorm life as well, since I lived with some cool people most of the time.

So, Persona 5 R was announced. No Switch confirmation, only PS4 and full reveal in March.

There's no PS4 logo but only Playstation logo to be specific... it could be on Vita as well lol.

Maybe we'll see Switch port reveal on Nintendo Direct soon.

Well Inwouldnt call it weird because there are plently of people that see new years day as just another day, my sis is one of them. The only ones in the family that make a big huge deal out of it, watching the ball and everything, is my mom

My kitchen sink is clogged. Not draining a drop.

Maintenance has pinned it to an issue at the main drain line, running between my unit and my neighboring unit (for those keeping track, this would be Skunk Tamer, not Moaning Myrtle) who, if they somehow weren't backing up before, are now.

Unfortunately the neighbors installed heavy countertops - I presume granite - meaning that when maintenance comes by to cut into the wall and get at the appropriate drain, they gotta dismantle my cabinets to do so.

Told em I couldn't get nothing good in 2018.

Right up to the buzzer, this ****ing year.

yeah, my dad is a workaholic 70 y/o close to 80, my sister 24 and working and posituve about life, My mom is a 50 y/o with with disabilitys and living alone and im the one that wants to die but doesnt tell anyone.

2018 as a whole was full of ups and downs for me personally. Definitely a lot better than 2016 I'd have to say (2017 was just sort of in the middle)

On one hand I've been struggling to keep up with bills throughout the year due to having major vehicle problems, had a few 'incidents' with people at work, even had a bit of a mental breakdown at the tailend of summer. On the other hand I've been working towards having a better overall outlook, made an effort to drop some of my bad habits in favour of good ones and even lost nearly 40 lbs since the beginning of the year (I was at 330 which was easily the heaviest I've ever been and never felt more muserable at the time). I don't want to think of it as an accomplishment just yet since there's still a ways to go and I still have yet to find a better source of income besides my job but I want to say that I feel optimistic for 2019 in general.

Almost finished watching Yu Yu Hakusho again. Funnily enough, when I was a kid, watching it I thought it stopped at Toguro, but Chapter Black and the Three Kings arcs were on Adult Swim like at 4 am. Glad I took the time to watch the rest of it, while also re-watching the early parts.
