Apparently Bakugan just made a huge new comeback and I was completely unaware of it.

Why does this Pro Controller feel so...smooth?

I really want to put it to good use soon.

I remember watching the original Bakugan tv show myself.

It had a really interesting premise and it was decently paced, so I was naturally interested in it and thus I became invested in middle school. But, the poor English dub takes away from immersion and worst of all: changes the story in which character development becomes compromised. Looking at scenes from the original Japanese recently, the cast as a whole is more well-rounded AND the characters have better voices as well. Eventually, I dropped the show and didn't watch it again until the end game of the show.

Concerning the cast, in the original show I remember Dan being a discount Naruto, Shun being an edgy memelord, and everyone else in the main cast being forgettable. Heck, my favorite character ended up being Klaus...and Klaus was a minor character in the original show, not a main. This fact is kind of sad.

Overall, I was initially very interested by the franchise, especially since the card game was pretty interesting and well-designed for the most part. However, the show ended up causing the franchise to fall out of favor with me (and I swapped over to Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering soon enough concerning card games).

Just looked it up, and there apparently will be a new TV series for it on CN next year. Maybe that's what he means.
Maybe you need to do more research before you shame the might that is Bakugan.

That's a "comeback"? '_'
They made an entire new TCG for Bakugan, which is incompatible with old versions of the game.
They have invitationals going on for it as we speak.

Hi, I played ton of Legend & Ace Spirit Battle.

Suffice to say, I beat most of them, but I am quit...off now, you could say.

So, if you have anything that can calm down from the insanity I just fought (peoples have fought Baby Bowser spirits will know what I am talking), feel free to share!:4pacman:

If no, have a nice night.

Shame it? Why would I do that?

I could never get into Bakugan and it didn't help that the anime (or at least the later seasons) just kinda did whatever they wanted in regards to the game.

It was Yugioh Duelist Kingdom all over again, except that had a valid excuse of the real game not existing yet.

Ah, Bakugan, I remember all the toys I bought because they looked so gooooood to me when I was young.

That and the anime was something I reguarly watched...too bad the episodes were out of orders and that they were like plenty of episodes I just miss. That and the plot going crazier and crazier, alongside me growing up, I just stopped watching it and after some time, I just forgot about it.

Still, I remember lots of good memories, so, if the series is back in action, cool for the fan then.

Actually the game was alive for a while, the reason they never followed the actual card game rules is that they weren't even canonically a thing until Battle City.
The anime was being faithful rather than adapting to real-world rules.

I'll never understand how Pegasus ran a successful children's card game with international tournaments that didn't even jave rules

Exactly. It was a manga that didn't even have a proper set of rules at that point. The card game didn't even start till later on, as it had other various games Yami Yugi played with criminals. It also introduced Capsule Monsters during some of it. Bandai even had weird cards that were never used in the regular Season 1 and above. The anime, as fun as it is, is a mess. Battle City's new rules helped a lot. Though it still had any spell being a quick-play spell if set facedown, and some traps could be activated from your hand(like Time Seal... which would actually make it stupidly broken if it worked that well. So damn glad it's banned).

The official card game created rules to make the game remotely playable and to create possibly balance within it. Of course, in many cases they buffed tons of cards(Dark Strike Fighter, Harpie's Feather Duster).

Duelist Kingdom never had clear rules, as even the video games loosely based upon it didn't work out well.

That one PSX game with the fusion system was pretty neat though

but we all gotta thank Kaiba for actually making the game the way it is

I don't know if Battle City or the CCG came out first in Japan, to be honest. But yeah, Kaiba helped a lot. He paved the way the anime works for seasons to come.

That said, Forbidden Memories was cool, but also really unbalanced. Grinding was beyond ridiculous. You know how getting all custom content in Smash 4 is hard? This was worse. Wayyyyyyy worse.

Kaiba was the pioneer of the "Quick Duel" or however you call it that Duel Links uses (DL canon says he made the entire game too so :drshrug:) and is an actual way to play that Konami advertises. Kaiba was also literally responsible for most if not every anime sequel. Ergo, Kaiba has more reason to be in Smash before Yugi.

BEWD > DM this is indisputable.

Hilarious how I made a moveset of Yugi/Yami Yugi first(note that both movesets were similar, not unlike a Clone or Echo, but they had different assets used).

Anyway, yep. Kaiba had a huge impact in-universe. I think ZeXaL is the first one to not mention him at all. He was everywhere in GX. Arc-V also doesn't mention him at all. The battle system is used, but Kaiba is not among series after GX. Though he might be in the Arc-V Manga, as it has Ede Phoenix/Aster Phoenix among the Fusion Dimension. I couldn't say. A lot of characters from previous series reappeared, as alternate counterparts as it's its own universe, if you will.

I think Arc-V just kind of disassembled everything and now we have VRains where we have no clue when or where we are in any timeline.

I think it's probably best to think that some series have no connections at all whatsoever.

However, didn't ZeXaL mention the legendary monsters that Kaiba and Yugi used. Makes me wonder if the old series were just TV shows or if it was another dimension or something.

Is Kirby like the only person who fights Marx in their classic mode?
I know that Rosalina & Luma do too, as I did their Classic Mode and fought Marx. I heard there was one more that fights Marx, but I can't remember which character it was.

Why indeed. Although in Super Star Ultra, Marx Soul did have an attack that gives the Paint Ability. How that would connect Marx to Inkling is beyond me, considering I doubt Sakurai would connect them with such a vague reference from a remake that I don't think Sakurai had any input on.

Possibly what the other user said. He's also multi-colored, something that's important to Inklings, the various colors.

Many of the bosses feel shoehorned in or don't have the most thought. There wasn't exactly a lot of options for some as is, honestly. Many just got Master Hand or both Hands. Sonic makes some sense, considering his role in the SSE, which was mostly to go against the SSB-only boss.

I thought Luigi having Dracula as his Classic Boss was kinda clever, considering Luigi in the Simon & Richter trailer, as well as referencing Luigi's Mansion to some degree as well.

On the other hand, why Roy doesn't have Ganon as his boss when his Classic Mode is about him fighting Sword wielders is beyond me.
