Mortal Kombat in Smash would be huge. It's literally why the ESRB exists. And outside Smash, it's my favorite fighting game series.

Yeah I can see why people feel this way. The more recent MK games are def over-the top brutal. Even for me, a long-time fan of the series.

I guess I have a lot of nostalgia for that series playing MK2 on the SNES as a kid as well as being a huge MK lore geek lol. The world and characters of Mortal Kombat are so fascinating and it has something no other fighting game has in that regard.

I also think Sub-Zero would translate well to Smash if he were primarily MK2-based. The early games were the most tame in the series aside from DC Universe.

The actual game is... alright. Could never get into NRS fighters much, that goes double for Injustice which just feels like a much less fun MK. MK9 and X are still incredibly fun games though. Hopefully 11 reaches 9 heights for me as X felt like a step back in a couple areas bring back Noob and Smoke.

This is exactly the case for me. I mean I love MK through and through but it was always the story, lore, and characters that hooked me on the series. The gameplay for me was just an added bonus for that.

But I think that's the charm this game has over all other fighting game series IMO. It's one of a kind.

Actual question: which Scorpion design would you want to be the main influence of the character? People talk about the MKX (or I guess MK11 now) or OG MK1 Ninja design, but I'm a big fan of how he looked in MK3.

I mentioned before, but for either Scorpion or Sub-Zero, they should take either MK2 or MK3 as the main designs for the Ninjas.

okay but nobody that's not sub-zero has a similar probability of getting in from the series as scorpion, so there's not much of a risk. especially when a lot of the ninjas have their own special designs now, like how smoke has metal gear raiden hair or how reptile is an actual reptile

Did you see Sub-Zero's alts in Injustice 2? He just has other Ninja colors.

Technically, the yellow one is supposed Cyrax and the red is supposed to be Sektor, rather than Scorpion and Ermac, but the point still stands.

Yeah, it should be fine as long as only one Ninja was added, it'd be an issue if we had both Scorp and Subz. then you'd have to pick and choose who gets what. Not that MK has a good chance, but if it did happen, the guy chosen could just borrow from all the others.

The classic series is hardly edgy at all aside from gore itself. Do you not know of stuff such as the techno soundtracks and comical over the top moves?

Just be honest and admit you don't like it because it's not anime. I know the **** you like is a lot edgier than MK.
