All things considered, 2016 was a pretty good year and a whole lot more tame compared to the two years that followed. 2017 & 2018 had more natural disasters and gun violence but I don't see #****2017 or #****2018. I guess that shows how skewed people's perceptions are.

And on a personal note, 2016 for me was a much better year than the ones after.

I think the kicker for 2016 is that it was by measures a pretty rough yet...to that point. I know it felt like the world was crumbling around me more than a few times.

It just happened to be the turning point. Everything has been downhill since - and, for me at least, doing its damnedest to accelerate.

The positives of 2016 I have? I made em. I'm wholly responsible for how awesome my 2016 was in hindsight. I just wouldn't have known that without reviewing it.

Sidenote for y'all. You got loved ones? People you care deeply about, who mean the world to you?

Take more pictures with em. However many you think you could ever want, triple it. You don't need to go spam social media or show it all off or whatever; that ain't the point. The point is to keep a record. Thought selfies were stupid for years...until it was all the memories I had left.

Someday you're gonna want to look back on it, see where you've been and how you've grown.

Don't make my mistake when that day comes.

AC 2019 was announced this year so 2018 is already the best year for me

Yep, they added Archer from HG/SS into the game.

He also appears during the Silph Co. takeover where you fihgt him alongisde a grunt I believe.

There is another time you run into him before the end of the main story, but I forgot where. All I know is that some character, I think your rival, agrees to fight him in your stead so that you can move on to the next room.

He also can be fought in the postgame where he can be found in Giovanni's office in Celadon City for a rematch, and then he will read you a letter he was planning on giving to you before tearing it up. It foreshadows the events of HG/SS where he talks about his plans on taking over Team Rocket following Giovanni's absence and doing all he can to bring Giovanni back to the organization.

It was the turning point (or more like a realization point for where the world was headed) but man people make that year out to be the frigging plague. Really wasn't the kind of year people make it out to be. Also, imagine hating on a numerical year which events can literally happen at any time. Funny to think about.

And that's a nice reflection. Sometimes we don't realize what we have until it's all gone and that's one of the worst things about human nature.

The sun and moon and timeline is weird since it’s an au

Plus there’s that one cameo
Mina appears and while I think her could just be how she carries over from gen 7. It’s more likely that she is younger since there is a younger red and blue but they’ve seeemingly gone through their journeys already.

But they never fought team Rocket this timeline.

So it’s really weird
