I've always said that whoever gets ahold of the Nintendo Properties. and does them right, will become a powerhouse of a rival to Disney. This proves my point full throttle. And competing companies have licenses to Nintendo movies. WB with Pokemon and Universal with Mario. If this movie does well, and it will, you better bet your *** there's going to be a mad scramble from every studio to get their hands on a Nintendo property. Hell, maybe VG properties in general.

Honestly, I would much rather have a Zelda movie than a series. It deserves a bigger budget and has the potential to be the next Lord of the Rings if it was done right. I would also like for the style of the movie be done in the way that A Terrible Fate was done. Real life locales, CGI characters. That short film is absolutely stunning.

That movie would be so ****ing glorious. Man, I want to make that movie. I'm sure it took a lot of cash to make even this short film so doing that for upwards to 2 hours would probably be unrealistic...

Nintendo is definitely branching out.

A Mario Movie by Universal is a bit scary. Illumination's movies are always mediocre. They never interest me.
It is what it is. I hope my expectations are wrong.

To be fair, Miyamoto is overseeing everything. Even being a guiding hand on who will Direct the movie and then you have the fact that it'll likely have a bigger budget than any Illumination movie before it because of its pedagree. We'll see. I'm cautiously optimistic on it.

The quality, from the trailer at least, of Detective Pikachu is a very happy surprise for me. Never thought I'd be looking forward to that movie.

I'm curious as to what's gonna go down with Avengers 4 as that comes out around the same time as Pokemon.

For the first time in ages, Marvel has a legit box office competitor.

The avengers post credit scene has captain marvel crash on an alien planet with Amnesia where she stills the varia suit.

Stan Lee's passing reminded me how important the entertainment industry actually is.

You're task in the industry is pretty much giving pleasure, delight and joy to the people.

You give the average human something to look forward to, be it music albums, feature films or video games.

Just looking up the library of any entertainment form really reflects on humanity and progress of our kind within a century.

I've enjoyed music, movies, games and comics from times before I was even born and I love how almost everything is timeless.

I missed out on the development of many forms but I'm sure as heck looking forward to the next decades to see how human entertainment will 'evolve'.

Electric Tale of Pikachu was a bloody mess. The writer was straight outta the woodwork when they wrote it and their appeal to Misty was... Yeah it happened.

But despite the hentai-scented ink/virgin waft, it had the best Meowth design out of all of the original mangas.

If Meowth looked like this today, it would of been my damn near favorite Pokémon.
