It's Resetera, so I'd expect it. I wouldn't mind more Black characters being Black and Hispanic myself, but it's about getting iconic/popular characters to duke it out, not filling a quota. You could at least argue that not many games feature a Black or Hispanic protagonist though, and thus this seeps through into crossover games. Which comes from many games being made in Japan, the USA or the EU, parts of the world that are primarily Caucasian and Asian. Though we've had some black protagonists over the years. Fighting games in general feature characters from many ethnic background though.
I'm pretty happy they even gave Villager two costumes where they're black. And that's been the case with Inkling too. And Ganon's brown because he's Gerudo, so I'd say that counts.
