Yeah, when I saw that face, I know who was my new favourite character from this game & Undertale combined.

So, is Bayonetta still top tier? In E3, she decimated poor Ridley.

I just want to know if she changed.

First of all, the invitational lacked SDI which is why MKLeo was able to pull off the ladder combo.
Even then though, with the demos people have been playing recently, Bayo's combos in general are harder to be consistent with. Witch time is harder to land as well, and her side-b angled into the ground has much more end lag now than in Smash 4.

Bayonetta will still probably be a solid character, but we can't know for sure if she's still a top tier. Right now she'll probably be a high tier, and top is possible but not something that will be as likely. Then again, she could just be as great as before (albeit unlikely). We'll see once the full game releases in a month.

Just saying that whether or not it's boring (which is subjective) is besides the point. My point is that she isn't useless. She breaks things just like anyone else. That's objective fact, so your line of reasoning was just screwed from the beginning if you were thinking "something that's boring can't be practical or good".

There, that's my true final post on the matter, and to make sure of it, i'm going to put you ignore for the rest of the night.

Kinda. The line between an echo and a non-echo is very slim, having the Links and Doc as characters that could have been, and Ken having so many differences he might as well be a new character. So I was expecting rebranding of some old characters to echoes, and making more of them as well to justify having stuff like "sharing a spot on the roster" be meaningful. Plus, the way they started showing 3 echoes on that first Smash direct made me think they weren't that difficult to make and that we could expect more of them, but I guess not.

The other one is Edgeworth in case we miraculously ever get Phoenix Wright.

But my boy Polly though...
I'd kill for Wright in Smash man... And yeah, probably if he got in with an echo Edgeworth would be chosen over Apollo. I want him and the glorius AA music in Smash so damn bad...

Honestly, I just want Ace Attorney content in Smash in general, but I want music more than anything.
I've only played the original trilogy, but I can definitely say that these games have incredible soundtracks.

I'm pretty sure they are bringing back all of the old Mii costumes aside from maybe third party ones for licesnsing issues. The game is literally built on top of Smash Wii U, there is no reason to get rid of any of them as long as they are not a license issue.

The observed pattern is that a character already confirmed can get a Mii costume (like how Link and Samus got one as DLC in Wii U/3DS), but otherwise, they are billed as consolation prizes, especially in Rex's case where he was specifically called out as not making the roster, similar to Geno in Smash Wii U/3DS.

Literally the main reason Sakurai created Mii fighters was so that people could pretend their favourite characters are playable. Like that's literally the concept behind them. Being a Mii Fighter before you've been made playable in that same game seems pretty damning to me because of that.

Also the Tweet is wrong about Daisy. It doesn't unlock her playable, she's just a "Fighter Spirit" - you can't equip it but it's just there to have some artwork.

I know it's not the reason you posted it, but the tweet is wrong - the Daisy in that screenshot is a Spirit, the Japanese literally says "fighter spirit", same as the character to her left. So this doesn't confirm being able to unlock characters via buying them (and it's also another point towards Spirits not deconfirming characters, probably).

It's possible, but considering:
-Mii Fighters did get new models, meaning they would have had to adjust and modified each outfit and whatnot to fit with said new models.
-They didn't have to bring Chrom's Mii costume back, considering Chrom is actually playable in the game now.
-It still adds to the fact that you can be a playable character and still have a Mii costume. So it is plausible for Rex to be a possible DLC character even with his Mii costume. If the K.Rool costume is back, can't wait to see images of the fake troll smile K.Rool Mii getting bodied by the real K.Rool.

Like, I'm certainly not saying that Rex now has a 100% chance of being a DLC character. But I still stand my ground that a Mii Costume doesn't make a Fighter's chance at DLC a 0%.

I don't necessarily think that they were underutilized, as I'm quite satisfied with the ones that we got, but I wish we could have gotten 1 or 2 more in the base game, or that we could get more after the game is released (preferably through free updates, unless they're echoing a DLC fighter). I do think it would have been cool if we could've gotten Shadow, Zack Fair, Impa(although I'd prefer for her to be unique), etc. as echoes. I am grateful for the ones we did get though.
