Oh, so Meta Rids is going to get alt colors like his normal form, nice, hopefully I will see the rest soon and get more ideas. Wish I knew there was an Omega Ridley/Phazon Meta coloration, which probably is not going to be.

I was feeling rather well until I saw things deeply. Even if Ridley, my favorite dragon and villain of all time is there, I feel I will still end up abandoning the game regardless, because from what I see, it will bore me faster with the lack if many things I had fun with. Like I said, I wanted to try out many things with Ridley I never would be able to in the past, but not even now that he's in I am going to be able to.

I may just wait for the game's models to be extracted, get Ultimate Ridley's and U.Meta's like how I now have Phazon Meta and Omega's and that's it. I won't probably need to spend any money for a game so lackluster.

Honestly, this list was kind of hard to develop, but I will admit that I was less excited for Daisy and Isabelle then I was for everyone else as even the Piranha Plant admittedly had some nice TTYD references that made me appreciate it, but I'd say it would be #7 or #8 at most if I had to move it. As for Incineroar, I'd say he's beginning to grow on me to a large degree, hence him being higher up then most.

Not to mention a good load of personality to show off, that I think is a big reason why Sakurai choose him.

Decidueye meanwhile, while I think there was moveset potential, is personality isn't exactly the most interesting.

Also, lackluster? Seem pretty strong of a word for a game with so many options to paly with, but hey, if there is nothing that interest you personally, I can get that (Tho I'm not sure being only focused on 1 character only is a good thing or not)

Sure, it got flak for being bipedal and the worry about being a Fire/Fighting type, but it did lose most of that once it was found out he was Fire/Dark. They also hold favor as a popular Pokemon for Double Battles by what I heard.

That said, the only thing I keep hearing is that Incineroar is very popular in Japan, whereas over here, Incineroar seems to compete with Decidueye. But it wouldn't be surprising at all if their Japanese popularity was part of the reason why Incineroar was chosen.

Choosing punching bags because you dislike a character is unhealthy and perpetuates negative emotion.

I mean, I have MANY other characters I can use (), not only . But even back then when he wasn't playable, I would enjoy the game for a while, wonder what it would be if I could play as Ridley and then get bored of the game, but at least the things it had entertained me for quite a long time, ever since Melee. And now that I have those characters and the one I dreamed of, the stuff I wanted to spend my time on while playing is gone, so what's the point?

I never said it was your point, it's my point that it should be irrelevant on who the most popular was, so I don't really see why anyone should argue that for his case in smash. The most popular could have been Primirina for instance(my favorite out if the 3 BTW), but I could see it being much harder to work with.

And although Decidueye isn't impossible by any means, they could have easily thought of something. But Incineroar to the devs probably seemed like more of a shoe-in with its moveset and personality regarding.

IDK, the unnessacary hate Incineroar gets just because Decidueye fans are so petty just bugs me. Would have bugged me just as much if it was vice versa. Though Decidueye is my least favorite out of the trio, I still lile it and if it made it in it would have seemed sensible too.

He resembles Tiger Mask, a manga character who is a cultural icon over in Japan. Including the fact that several real life wrestlers have played the role over the years and still do to this day.

Wrestling in Japan overall is seen as a huge deal, even though they know it's all "fake" it's still taken extremely seriously as a sport.

As for Incineroar being chosen, we know Gamefreak basically has full pull for that. I wouldn't be shocked if the reason they went for Incineroar in Smash was because they chose Decidueye for Pokken DX and Dusk Lycanroc was their Ultra SM merch machine.

And yeah, Ken to me is also Ryu but better. Ken usually adds that extra speed and momentum that I feel Ryu lacks. Oh, also flare.

If we go by that Pokemon poll from a while back, Primarina was actually the most popular final Alola starter, with Rowlet being the most popular overall.

Incineroar was up there though and Decidueye placed the lowest I believe.

Popularity didn't have a factor, especially when the roster was decided in 2015.

Well, I can't say for sure, Stickers are less interesting for sure than trophy, and Target Mode is....well, we don't actually know if it's here in any form or shape. But I feel like if you want to play something to pass time, not every single hours of the day but just when you feel bored and whatnot, or with friends Smash is the ideal game for that and the Switch really is made for quick session whatever you feel like it.

But if if the core gameplay doesn't interest you all that much, well, yeah, I don't know what could make you happy. What I like isn't what you would like for sure, but I still wouldn't call the game lackluster imo, just not varied enough I say for some players. (Tho on that note, there still details about Classic Mode and Adventure Mode I need to see).

I don't know, just the choices of words I find weird, but maybe that's just me.

It is a big deal, but I just want to mention a fun fact.

Japan's biggest sport is Baseball. They actually inherited baseball from Americans and they gave us Cherry Blossom Trees in thanks.

China did a similar thing and gave us a Great Panda Bear when Nixon tried to improve relations in China.

I mean, I've gone offhand saying that I didn't want Incineroar and that pokemon didn't need a new rep. The only thing that changed my mind was, well, Incineroar being in smash. And mostly because I love wrestling and posing.
