I wouldn't rule that one out.

Because if it is a theme they are going for, they were never gonna do it with Isabelle. She doesn't fit for a trailer like that so they made it lighthearted.

Basically, Isabelle's trailer could just be a filler episode. To put us into a false sense of security.

On my thoughts of none-Smash content from this Direct, Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Inside Story looks fantastic.

I wasn't totally confident that game would get remade this soon, although it always made sense to me to do so. The new, additional story campaign is especially exciting for me, because I always wanted to see Jr. interacting more with the Koopalings, something we've only gotten glimpses of in a handful of the New Super Mario Bros. series. Here, not only does it look like they'll be interacting with each other a lot throughout the campaign, but they also look like they'll all get to be playable as party members! It's given me more than what I ever expected from a remake of BiS!

The best part is now FF7 is on a nintendo console so people can stfu about Cloud not making sense in Smash.

Do you think we can change the paint job? If so, Red/Blue/Black would be my color scheme for the mech. Gotta have some big **** you lasers too.

It looks cool, but I just don't understand why they didn't tell us all of that at E3 instead of giving us a completely out-of-nowhere trailer that ended abruptly with no further context.

It looked cool as **** and I'm still really looking forward to it.

The framerate looks kinda rough though.

The game looks cool but I definitely won't be getting it for a long time if they don't fix the horrible frame rate by release. These are trailers and it still looks unplayable.

What is even better is Isabelle is not really an echo-fighter. She is a new character.

It is not funny and it is creepy.

Either way, it is really cool to see Isabelle in Smash. My theory is the big ones like Skull Kid, Shadow and Geno will be saved in the next Smash Direct.

It makes sense that the very first trailer for a game just shows off the basics before getting into mechanics. But taking weapons from beaten foes sounds fun.

So Peach's mom is a human and Peach's dad is a Toad.
Well, whatever it takes to get it on to make the Mario series more interesting.

Also the real trick is to not predict anyone in particular. Some people convinced themselves real hard that Skull Kid or Geno were getting shown for sure and got blown up.

I mean, I'd like Isaac, but I didn't pick any horse to back in particular because LITERALLY ANYONE could have been shown. And then we got the 1-2 combo with a character and a new AC game. So at least those guys are happy.

Okay, yeah, I don't understand that at all.

My first thoughts on hearing the explanation that Toadette can transform into a different Princess Peach from a power-up were "How the hell does that work?"

Man some of the salt in the character threads really show how little some people pay attention to what characters Nintendo's pushing.

Isabelle is more important than Shantae is.
Isabelle was a stable Animal Crossing character, of course she is going to be important. Plus she gives Animal Crossing more. I was right, Isabelle was going to be in Smash.

Can I just say.

If Nintendo put as much effort into their online service as they did for the animation promoting it, it would be waaay more enticing.

Seriously I loved that trailer. Just hated what it was promoting lol.

I mean I don't like Isabelle as a unique character but I can think of plenty worse alternative scenarios for this Direct's reveal.

So I suppose there's a silver lining.
