Yeah I'm not that big on the FF stuff. I find it funny that they won't give the FFVII remake but they'll just give regular FFVII. If they're doing a special collection, why not start with the beginning and go up from there? Why did they skip 8? No seriously, why did they skip 8?

Also I feel pretty insulted that we can't get FFXV but we can the ****ing mobile port.

The reason is because the other games all have solid ports to work off of. It's fairly easy for them to slap them on multiple platforms.

VIII has a port on Steam, but.....it's kind of a horrible port. I don't recall the full story behind what happened with it but yeah, they would have to actually redo it if they wanted to put it on new systems. Maybe they lost the source code or something.

My only problem with Isabelle TBH is that, although I've never played AC, I've seen WAY too much porn of her.(Not surprising really, furries put out more porn than anyone.) That can be said for many characters though. But it sucks because it effects how I think of them if I hadn't connected with that character from the source material.

To be fair, I could say the same about the Villager. *Shivers*

Overall it was a pretty decent Direct. Luigi’s Mansion 3 was a great surprise, as well as the Final Fantasy game’s (FF7 comes to a Nintendo after all these years), Yoshi is finally shown again,Daemon X Machina still looks fun, and of course the announcement of Animal Crossing Switch.

Wasn’t the best thing ever, but it was serviceable.

I'm now seeing another trend here lol. Back in March people were going up and down about no MP4,AC and Yoshi after we got Smash Ultimate, after E3 people going up and down especially Yoshi for whatever reason.

Now people going up and down about no Metriod Prime 4 infos....

It would be great that either people should understand the Direct isn't going to satisfy everyone or Nintendo should have a Direct that just reveals everything all the got... and yes... only the former is more likely to do.

And just curious, what's unique newcomer you just mentioned?

So pretty average Direct overall IMO, but that being said, congrats to people who wanted Isabelle. My highlights for the Direct were Daemon X Machina, the Capcom Beat-em Up bundle, the FF games coming to Switch and obviously, the Smash trailer. Was a bit sad not to see any Fire Emblem Three Houses, but it's fine if they are polishing up things and whatnot. Otherwise, pretty average Direct IMO.

Meh, I've learned to put with it and ignore the bad stuff. It exists no matter what. Better to not let other people ruin something for ya.

I don't really care about MP4 personally but yeah that's the next game people won't shut up about whenever any Direct pops up.

Someone more hype worthy than Isabelle (whom I've seen conflicting reports on being unique or a semi-clone) like Isaac or someone like that. Of course dissenting opinions are not welcome here so I need to lay low.

The only version of FF8 I've played is the Steam port, so... yeah. Better that they didn't just use that one, really. I actually like the game, but I'm not eager to play it again soon because things like the "B1" "B2" etc. button prompts just ruin stuff like the train hijack scene. If they were to fix those it wouldn't be quite so bad, but I don't know how hard that'd be.

I'd rather a full remake, though, so they can make stuff like junctions not be completely silly. :p Getting 99 Curaga and junctioning it to HP gets you like 5000 HP within the first few hours, and from there you basically can't die to anything until you reach disc 4.

Honestly out of everything in that Direct Diablo III is still the most exciting thing for me. I put in close to 2000 hours on PC since it's release, and it's practically perfect for the Switch. November is a bit farther away than I would've hoped, but I can wait.

Anyways, some misconceptions the Isabelle trailer killed:
- The death/spirits theme in trailers.
- The "Heroes vs Villains" theme.
- The infamous furniture theory.
- Semi-clones are fair game (TO BE DETERMINED)

As far as we've seen, I think Isabelle is a Wolf style "clone". Wildly different normals, similar looking specials that work very differently, same Final Smash as her counterpart.

Basically barely a clone.
