None of her moves are really the same as villlagers. They have different asethics and function.

Either way I knew when Verge heard about Isabelle she was likely unique. Not the moveset I pictured but its pretty close.

Yeah I goofed after only seeing her first 2 moves. Really deflated that she was the only reveal.

Meh, kinda disappointed by the direct. Isabelle was one of the obvious picks, she's a villager semi-clone it seems (not echo, but the base moveset looks really similar). At least we got an announcement for the new Animal Crossing. Nothing I can say that surprised me or interested me from the direct apart from the new IP from Game Freak.

I was like expecting one newcomer and one echo, but instead we got 1 semi-clones, which everyone thought that they were extinct.

Tho, what I do know is, congrat' professor pumpkaboo! the wait for a new AC as finally ended!...well, I mean, the date is here anyway, but still! I hope you are happy.

Well actually before I go I should remark that Isabelle could have easily been Japan's Ballot choice. Akin to what Ridley was for the West. Not that I like it of course but for that reason I can understand. AC is a huge IP for Nintendo anyways.

I had new interest in her being playable thanks to some information on Amiibo Festival. I also was beyond confident it was unique(as in not an Echo) or bust. I see I called this one too. I love it~

Direct was pretty good considering a bunch of the announcements leaked and sorta just happened anyway, you could tell MM11 was meant to be bookended with "Oh btw the Demo will be up after the direct" for instance.

Now that it's over, I'll share my thoughts I guess.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is pretty cool. Looks like the Mansion this time is a huge tower like one.
That Capcom Beat Em Up Collection is pretty damn cool. Though I wish FF2 and 3 were on it I'm still interested.
Mega Man 11 unfortunately showed their stuff with Bounce Man off early. But the Amiibo works like Hyrule Warriors drops I guess, free E-Tanks can help.
FF 7, FF 9, FFX, FFX2, AND FF12 are coming to Nintendo systems? That's the craziest thing I've seen this direct. That's ****ing huge.
Toadette can turn into Fake Peach. Weird. Also, RIP Blue Toad.
Wolf is in Star Link too, makes sense, even if it was likely.
Yoshi's Crafted World has some neat stuff in it. Namely playing levels backwards.
Super Mario Party looks like the return to form we've been needing for the most part.
Isabelle's in the game, not someone I care for personally, but I got my ****** so we're good.
Octolings can do Frieza's Death Ball.
New Animal Crossing, too bad Tom Nook wasn't the playable character, since I'm more familiar with him.
Another Lego game.
Board games on you video game sys......zzzzzz.

Well just think about it from my point of view. I was almost convinced that this company was going to do some collection for AW on the Switch given the 30th anniversary (and mind you the same company that goes crazy with retro collections) and we got a big fat load of nothing as usual. That really rubbed me the wrong way because it was the perfect way to have something out for the series without having a new game.
