The only reason why anyone would think she would not get in are likely people who see her as a clone of Kilik when in reality, Kilik is the clone and Seong Mi-na was the original and since later SC games, her moveset has become much different from Kilik.

Kilik was a staff wielder since the first Soulcalibur. In the first Soulcalibur, he was definitely a clone of Seong Mi-na. But both spread out to eventually have their own movesets. Kilik was a "random character" in 5, but his original moveset was the staff, which Xiba used as his moveset.

Because it's all be certain that we're going to get a newcomer reveal from it.

It’d be cool if Soul Calibur 6 came to the Switch. It would also give me a bit of nostalgia in a way since Soul Calibur 2 came out on the game cube and my bro and I got it and Metroid Prime for Christmas the same year and so this new console has a new Metroid Prime coming. It would just be perfect for me.

That's what I'm hoping for personally. I just want to see modes and content.

Getting a couple of newcomers, echoes or not, is a guarantee but it's unlikely they'll be ones I care for personally and as I've said before, there are enough characters in Smash already. We don't need anyone else at this point, it's all just bonuses from here on out.

I just had a thought.

In my little survey about YouTube I did, the most popular livestream topic was reactions to Nintendo Directs and E3 and that sort of thing.

Who'd be up for either watching a stream or me just recording my reaction to the upcoming Direct?

It would be a good test for the future. I won't have facecam since I actually don't have a camera for this computer, though I'll obviously have a mic. If I go the livestream route, I could start an hour or two before the Direct and play some Smash games in various emulators (or any other games).

I can kinda understand being upset with it being a Smash-only Direct considering the E3 Direct was basically a Smash Direct too.

But I also don't think Nintendo has much else up their sleeve this year so I'm just rolling with the punches.

At this point I'm more excited about the progress of Switch emulation so I can play the few Switch games I actually care about on PC, than the release of more Switch games lol.

I heard the news. So it turns out Nintendo did have some kind of Smash news saved for EVO: the announcement of a new Smash Direct!

Sadly, I'm going to be quite busy on August 8th at the very same time the Direct goes live (if the Direct happened one day earlier or later, that would've been perfect for me), so I won't be able to watch it until I come back home later that afternoon unless some last minute change happens.
