I'm currently fixing that, though. Been working on fixing my sleeping schedule and going on long morning walks.

Look... I guess an outburst like that deserves an explanation...

My dad was accused of molesting a kid.

He didn't do it. The kid had a habit of accusing people, was part of a cult that pressured members to do accuse people of that and my dad had a perfect alibi, he was on TV at the time.

The police said there was no case. The state said there was no case. The district said there was no case. But because some lady in Washington thought that smoke always meant fire, he went to court.

He was found innocent in a court of law as there was no evidence against my dad and blatant evidence that he didn't do it.

But it still ruined his life. He had to quit his job and twenty years later, even though he was found innocent, he had to quit his new job when they found out.

My dad hasn't been the same since.

I already have some people give me weird stares cause I'm a male elementary teacher.

I don't want a repeat of my dad's situation. He would never hurt a kid. He devoted his life to working with them.

For the record, my dad was the vice principal of a high school. The school knew he was innocent and let him finish the year and retire a couple years early.

But the second job made him drive four hours for a meeting just to tell him that he was fired because they recently found out he was accused.

I hate that second group of people.

well...at least its not as bad as what ya said of ruining his life, a few years early retirement isn't that bad

but damn that second time was a slap to the face

No clue. It all links to specific YouTube videos, so somebody probably just copied the wrong url.

Regarding student and teacher relationships...

I.... Don't actually think it's morally wrong.

As long as both parties are consenting adults and bias won't play a role in their professions, I think it's okay.

Emphasis on the adult part.

Teacher dating a high schooler is wrong. Teacher dating a college student isn't.

Likewise, I think a teacher dating one of their current student is wrong as it can create favoritism, but if it's a teacher dating a former student, it's okay.

Change my mind.

I wasn't really talking about irl student/teacher relationships, it was more about about how the trope is used in popular culture.
I just get really annoyed when a story creates a romance between two characters with a student/master relationship, it undermines their previous dynamic and leaves some weird implications. Like, we were talking about FE, I keep remembering about how Corrin can marry Gunter in Conquest, obvious age differemce aside, it's pretty much stated Corrin sees him as a father figure and that just becomes creepy.
It's just my general distaste for how certain media handle romance in general and it usually comes from the fact "a single man and a single woman can't coexist in the same place without being attracted to one another".

I read all of your posts and I don't think you're a creep. If anything, when looking at those posts about you saying you don't see anything wrong with former student/teacher relationships, I just see someone trying to be impartial despite what happened with your father, which I think is pretty admirable.

Sorry about what happened with your father. I can empathise with what happened to him, to a degree. It's not a pretty experience.

I mean this reminds me of back in 2014 where there was a one man massacre in the subway in Taipei, and the criminal was a 22 yer old college student. Some of the news media later on made news saying that playing video games will make you become a violent criminal because they reported that criminal often plays LoL... like most young dudes back then... and my mom and especially my dad somewhat use that news to "scold" on me to stop playing video games back in the day.

And also with BBC once made a news about "Why Autistic people really love manga"in 2016, you really shouldn't be that surprised lol. But hey at least this video still has the like/dislike ratio and comments on.

Why did I just now think of this? I'm watching The Incredible Hulk right now and a lot of people consider it a "miss" but I think the only real miss is Ed Norton. If you get the chance watch The Incredible Hulk. It's definitely not the best but it's not as bad as some would say.
