As a fan of Jim Sterling I agree that the video you mean was really just... bad

It was. I think he needs to chill with stuff like that as he also made a unsettling comment in his BotW review saying something along the lines "I don't get why other people scored this higher", which felt unprofessional to me for someone who's reviewing the game. Like I don't care if someone likes BotW or not but you don't question others scores in your own review.

People can look at Fortnite and tell its Fornite within seconds.

PUBG looks like any other shooter on the market at first glance.

Shamelessly because they didn't even try to hide it. Everything Pubg does, Fortnite does. Everything from the opening queue area, to the parachute air drop, to the encroaching storm.

It's a bit like saying the original Battlestar Galactica wasn't a blatant Star Wars ripoff just because all the tropes of Star Wars existed long before Star Wars did. Nah, man, sometimes a ripoff is just a ripoff.

I don't remember that part, I remember him being ok with people giving it 10's and stuff and that people hacked his website due to his low, low score of 7/10, which also happened when he made a review of No Man's Sky. And almost happened again after someone spread a fake Odyssey review claiming to be from him

So I've been playing Hyrule Warriors Switch and currently at the... second-thirdish Epilogue level. So couple things I've learned:
**** Zant
The game is way more stressful than I thought it'd be with multitasking.
I think my main might either be Sheik or Lana, but I have yet to play 2/3's of the cast fully and like, none of the DLC.
**** Zant's Dragon.
I learned how to dodge cancel and thank God for fighting games.
Turns out the Training Dojo is actually super useful, and kinda absolutely needed. And you learn this during the scenario with a level 1 character you've never played, and a level 8 character who dies in a few hits.

Overall it's been pretty all right.

Oh but it doesn't stop there, because the description is just the one from the Japanese eShop completely run through Google Translate and the result is ****ing glorious.

If that wasn't enough, the game is completely untranslated. That's right, a game completely in Japanese is up for sale on the NA store.

Yeah, eShop might need a few tweaks.

Sorry for taking a small quote, but not sure what do you mean when you say rip-off is a rip-off.
Sure it would be nice if video games are more diverse and try not to copy each other, but then again, as long as the rip-off is better than the original, I personally don't think it is a bad thing. But I have to admit some people do not like rip offs that's for sure. So in general when it comes to rip offs whether it is a good thing or a bad thing it is totally up to you and the rip off it self.
