So yeah Nintendo has a decent track record with most of their E3 showings barring a few bad one's and/or boring ones. Here's hoping 2018 will fall in to the good category even not including Smash.

Some things:

Even if you're not going to the Splatoon 2 World Championship, you can score yourself its T-shirt in-game (but you can get a physical t-shirt if you're actually going)
Details coming June 8

Next is an new Octo Expansion clip:

And finally we have confirmation that Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee will be playable at E3 (which means I can check off the "Pokémon for Switch" square on my Bingo card :))

Ooh this sounds interesting.

What's the speculation in question?
CyberHyperPhoenix CyberHyperPhoenix retweeted a tweet about Bomberman R coming to other consoles and about some other explosive news for Bomberman at E3 and I’ve wanted Bomberman in Smash since Snake made third parties a thing so I’ve been spiraling into possible overhyping of nothing.

I'm surprised you remember back to the early to mid 00s lol.

I only started to really look forward to them around 2010 or maybe later.

I think the earliest E3 I can specifically remember seeing info on as it was happening was whatever one Super Mario 64 DS was shown at, as well as Twilight Princess. I also have distinct memories of seeing Brawl revealed for E3.

Huh that be pretty cool if it was Smash related. I'm not sure how willing Sakurai would be to work with Konami after the Kojima thing.

However I would love Bomberman too.

On a side note:

This is pretty good news. Hope we get more at E3

Oh hey, Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn is on the eShop :yeahboi:

I'm having urges to get it even if it could be bad. But being $20 makes it can't do too much harm.

I looked back on their previous press conferences through the videos posted on YT.

But yeah the more recent E3's are the ones that are on my mind more I guess.

9 actually :glare:

Well it's more like me looking back and seeing the good and the bad of the event. And that year revealed Twlight Princess so it's def a good E3 lol.

But I’m 7 years older than you and I was 14 in 2004. How could you be 9? Did you just decide to not age for 2 years or something?

Reading that Game Informer article about Spyro, and...

Composer Stewart Copeland’s original scores are being used, but the music is now dynamic, shifting in tone when Spyro moves from exploration to combat. It’s a small change that goes a long way in heightening the moment of facing off against Toasty the scarecrow, who now has a mischievous grin, fluid animations, and can eventually be burned down to reveal he’s a sheep standing on stilts.
That's well above and beyond the call of duty, I can't wait to hear what those music shifts are like.

The struggle to get Legendary Ryoma continues.

I accumulated another 20 orbs thanks to a few Chain Challenges, and so I continued sniping red orbs. I ended up getting another Sigurd instead with bad IVs: +Spd -Atk.

At least I can hold on to this extra one when I need to pass down Close Defense 3, but man, this is the third time this banner where I pulled a different red unit from the one I wanted...

Legendary Ryoma, please, come home. Your Firesweep Sword+ is waiting for you!

Hoh boy, watching all those old E3 crowd reactions & even some of the recent live Directs give me a raaaaan-deh contact high! :estatic:

Here's hoping this E3 will be something special, since the last 2 Nintendo Digital Events were pretty solid. I mean, we at least know we're getting a Smash. Although, I'd caution investing too much into the hype culture pervading this conference as it has been up to now.

Apparently, Midnight from MHA is a full-on reference to some obscure Marvel character

Need some opinions on something. I originally didn't want to post anything publicly on this until it was done but my friend who I normally look to for opinions on this sort of thing is MIA.

So I'm working on a Smash Bros. style Nia render set. Final version will include Dromarch, 7 colour variants, her "spoiler form", and 7 colour variants of that design. I might also add a water effect behind her.

Just need some preliminary opinions on how it's coming along. Does the pose look good? Is the image clear enough (granted, this is a compressed version, full render set will be uncompressed)? Is there too much noise, and if so, by how much?

Don't focus on the lighting though, as I haven't gotten around to actually fleshing it out. The final version will have more detailed lighting and likely be touched up in Photoshop. I'm also considering waiting to see how the Smash Switch renders look and trying to replicate how the lighting is in those.
Pose needs some work.

Center of gravity is one of the hardest concepts to grasp, particularly in more dynamic poses, but there's a neat trick to getting it right.

It's called the Skateboard Test. Create a basic rectangular plane under a character's feet, as if they were standing on a skateboard. Then run a line down from the characters primary center of gravity (it varies from character to character, but a good rule of thumb is the lower stomach for female characters and the lower chest for male characters), and if that line doesn't land on the skateboard, your character isn't supporting their own weight in this pose.

I can tell you just from looking at this pose that you cant really stand with your feet wide apart both in the X plane and the Z plane. Just try to do it in real life. You'll fall over.

You can either do the widespread "Sumo stance" OR the widespread "vaulting stance", but you can't really do both at the same time.
