Super Mario Galaxy was released in 2007.

See, that; things like that make me feel like an old fart, when in reality I have no right feeling like an old fart at this age.

At least I hope I don't.

I made an error in my maths...

the 2 comes before the X, and in roman numerals 2=II....

Thus...IIX

Which would be...8

Red is actually 8 years old...

This is a typical Japanese school lunch. Some sort of soup, minced salad, bamboo rice, jello snack, milk. And grilled fish or shishamo filled with tons of fish eggs inside the stomach. I used to not like it but I have learned to like which in turn became something I love to eat later.
I would never eat anything with eggs in it. I get sick eating that ****.

It’s delicious!

I’m pretty open to most food. I’ve eaten dog and maggots in Korea. The fermented duck egg in the Phillipines. Rocky Mountain Oysters in the US. And here in Japan I’ve had raw blowfish and sea cucumbers. Mind you, I grew up mostly on hamburgers, pizza, and hot dogs my whole childhood.

My wife made me cod milt for dinner once. It was fairly expensive but she wanted to try it since it’s a delicacy here. I was not impressed and it was my first time to openly dislike her cooking haha.

Here’s the cod milt or shirako in Japanese.

I was eating cod sperm with a little soy sauce for flavoring....

I have a theory.
Red has a connection with dragon children.
Nowi is one thousand years and Red could be a dragon child.
Red is awesome.
Red is a thousand years old.

I'm all for trying foreign cuisine and expanding my food interests, but I'm...

I'm... not so sure about that last one.

That is interesting. What do you eat, the pink stuff or the fish with the guts exposed?

Just the white stuff which is the sperm or milt. It came in a plastic food tray wrapped in plastic. It was about $15 for the cheapest kind.

My Korean friend told me that Koreans have ate dog since ancient times but it became a necessity during WWII with lack of food and nutrition. It then became traditionalized in the culture. However, eating dog or cat meat isn’t really a huge thing and he personally has never had it despite living in South Korea all his life. The area I live in was forced to see locusts and cicadas to survive during WWII. Now, they are still sold in local markets as a traditional food of the area. Actually quite good.

I’m ok with eating strange food but the dog meat I had as well as the whale I ate here in japan left me feeling sad.

Especially considering when I try, I can not get a friend.
You just had to make it all about yourself again, did you?

Look, getting a friend isn't easy, but I'd say an excellent way to start would be to find someone you know you have common ground with.

Like how I become friends real ****ing fast with Smash players while it's a bit harder to even talk to someone I have nothing in common with.

We may all call you gross, but a diverse healthy diet is good for you. :)

It make sense Koreans would eat dogs in WWII, as they were quite devastated by the Japanese destruction. However despite starving, they should not eat dogs.

Ugh. That kind of food would make me sick. There's no way I could eat that.

Then again I am something of a picky eater.

Honestly I like animals too much to eat them.
I love animals, but I still eat them.
I need the protein.

Yeah, that entire situation is entirely based on cultural ethics. Enough of the weird food, this is by far my favorite Japanese food. And lucky enough there are tons of restaurants that sell where we live.

Tonkatsu or breaded pork cutlets with a special sweet sauce; usually served next or on top of rice in a bowl. It’s pretty damn addicting.
