His Hit Rate is notoriously bad even for an SoV Archer and his Crit Rate isn't anything to write home about either. Before promoting to Sniper, he is basically unusable, but luckily Bonus EXP exists to make up for the EXP loss from him not being able to hit things and IIRC he starts off at like Lv. 5 or something so getting him to a Sniper isn't as much hassle as it would be in any other game.

You CAN make him usable, but it requires giving him weapons that purely focus on buffing his Hit Rate, and a bit of babying. Even an Archer that doesn't Crit as much is good for picking things off because of range, but it's an annoying crutch nonetheless and he won't be dishing out the damage.

Personally, I gave him the Blessed Bow for most of my playthrough as it has good Hit Rate and gave him a niche against Terrors, especially flying Terrors.

I used him most of the game but he was by far the biggest slacker of my main party fittingly enough, and I've heard most people haven't had much better experiences.
Guess it's just personal experience then. :v
He has obvious flaws for an archer, but within the bulk of Alm's army, he's still a fine ally; and it's good that you can deploy up to 20 units at once in most maps. Clive came out as much more of a stinker than him tbh, which is sad because I want to love him so much.
Poor Clive. The sad thing is he wasn't that bad in Gaiden. Everyone had lame growths so come promotion time, everything would more or less even out due to how promotion bonuses worked. Unfortunately the Echoes growth buffs definitely gave some uneven results.

Also I find Gen 1 to be the worst game, not just mechanically, but let's be honest guys, Gen 1's post game when compared to the other games leaves a lot to be desired, what its catch Mewtwo, and that's about it.
Well, that's just another reason for it to be updated, isn't it?

I promise not to complain about any more character additions if Decidueye gets in until the next game, that is. That's how much I want him.

So how do y'all deal with your phobia when some element of it pops up in video games?

The Skulltulas in Ocarina of Time are a bad enough jumpscare for me (if I forget to expect them), but it gets straight-up traumatic when spiders get more realistic like in Skyward Sword or Skyrim. Heck, my heart skips a beat whenever I accidentally walk/fall near a big spider in Xenoblade 2, or when they just drop by unannounced by climbing down a wall out of the blue.

Should I make E-3 a Smash Bros PPV instead of the usual name I have for it at the moment? Here's my list of PPVs that I do for the Smash Bros thing I mentioned awhile ago

New Year's Revolution (early Jan)
Smash Rumble (late Jan)
No Way Out (Feb)
Super Smash Mania (March)
Backlash (April)
Judgement Day (May)
Breaking Point (June) - I plan to change this one to something related to E-3
Electric Glory (July)
Summer Bash (Aug)
Champion's Honor (Sept)
Rebellion (Oct)
Against All Odds (early Nov)
Multi-Man Survival (late Nov)
Final Destination (Dec)

I need more Smash themed names. Backlash, Champion's Honor, Rebellion, Against All Odds, Multi-Man Survival, and Final Destination seems to fit. No Way Out is a possibility as well. The others I'm not sure on

Does SNK have any well known characters? Nintendo keeps advertising some SNK game but I'm not sure I even know any SNK characters

I think their franchises such as Metal Slug, King of Fighters, and Samurai Shodown are relatively well known, but outside of specific circles I don't think any particular characters of theirs are well known.

Maybe Terry Bogard and Geese Howard because of Engrish memes.

Arachnophobic here.

How I deal with it... Depends on the game.

OoT/MM Skulltulas are fine by me, they look cartoony/unrealistic enough that they don't bother me as much as creep me out a little (I hated the Spider Houses though, used a video guide just to get through them.) When they get realistic, that's when things get bad. I flat out quit Twilight Princess and probably would've done the same with Skyward Sword. Saw the ones in Skyrim and knew I would never play it. Xenoblade X was a ****ing nightmare to traverse because of spiders just dropping in on you in almost every continent, (which is less of a problem on a Skell.) Xenoblade 2's Arachnos are a little silly looking but still paralyzed me enough in certain parts, notably THAT part in Chapter 7. Antols are also in the game and look way more terrifying than Arachnos but you really don't run into those during the main game.

How I get through them basically amounts to sheer will. But stuff like not looking at the screen or holding it far away helps. And also having someone besides you or just listening to music is also stuff I do to help out. In Xenoblade 2's case, whenever I got to an area I checked the wiki to see if Arachnos were an enemy you could encounter, if they were, I'd just watch a walkthrough of said area just to know when I could expect them and mentally prepare myself.

Welp I got informed as to what the disappearing triangles meme was in reference to as well by a friend irl and now I'm planning on marathoning Ant-Man, Civil War, Dr. Strange, Homecoming and Black Panther as soon as I can so I can see Avengers with minimal confusion and so I won't have the movie spoiled to me anymore once I see it. (I'm caught up with all of the other movies though)

Not surprised that Chao Garden won in a landslide, and while Chao Garden is cool I'm personally a fan of Time Attack. The sheer thrill of trying to rush through the levels and beat your previous times is really fun for me. It gets my competitive nature going really nicely.

I voted Character Customization.

Chao Garden was cool but I kinda grew out of it. The other two are pretty basic modes/features, especially Time Attack.

Yeah I voted Character Customisation too.

Chao Garden is sort of separated from the Sonic experience. It should be it's own thing though, like a mobile game or something.

Time Attack is pretty basic and Sonic games usually record your best times as a standard and even have leaderboards, though I do hope more games have the instant reset button like Mania.

2-player play is fun but they'll never make it online so it doesn't do anything for me because I wouldn't have anyone to play with.

Meanwhile the character customisation in Forces was thoroughly enjoyable.

The fact that Chao garden hasn't been made an app still blows my mind. Maybe it isn't possible because I couldnt use the chao garden when I played Adventure 1 and 2 last year (or maybe year before?) but it just seems like an obvious choice.

Raising creatures just sounds like an easy mobile app. Hell, if you want to add microtransactions you can do that. Pay for more chao stamina or certain powerups . . .

My hot take is that the Chao Garden isn't that great.

Or, more like, it's such a huge time sink that I just can't be bothered to play it seriously ever again.

I got the 3 Chaos Chao back in the day, enjoyed it and that's good enough for me.

I just wish this thread had more Incineroar supporters. :p

I think its just me and Golden right now.
I support Incineroar because we need more grapple/wrestling types of fighters

But there's only room for one Gen 7...we'll be lucky if we get both Inci and Deicudeye

I'm only supporting Blastoise pokemon-wise

With gen 8 maybe coming out soon, Decidueye and Incineroar may be old news

A new gen 8 pokemon could possibly be the new one.

Or maybe Blastoise if it's a Gen 1 remake

My brother, friend, and I played the living **** out of the Chao Garden in Sanic Adventure 2 back in the GameCube days. It's amazing.

Then one day after a long hiatus we decided to go back and the save file was corrupted :c

E3 is coming, 4chan's getting fat. Please put some bitcoin in old E.A.'s hat.

I have a big trip the weeks after E3, and since I'm looking forward more to that, the big 12th will just be here in a snap.

If you could have one thing, and I mean only one thing, happen, what would it be?

For me, all I want is some sort of future confirmation on Splatoon 2 content. Once Flounder Heights is confirmed, it'll be the perfect game.

Kinda eh on E3 this year.

My new PC will be built soon so my summer will be spent on that, playing older games, and working on game dev stuff too.

Looking forward to Spyro and KH3 news, but as far as Nintendo goes, I don't have much I actively want to see. Smash will interesting to see but I don't know if I will be hyped. Fire Emblem should be cool. Beyond that I just wanna know about the Challenge Battle Mode and Story DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
