I always felt Pokken should played like a Tekken lite. When I first heard the name and the fact the Tekken people were working it, I figured it was a no-brainer. Of course, this coming from a guy who does not really enjoy those 3D anime fighters like the Naruto ones. But the pun is literally in the name after all. A better roster would be nice too. There's some great picks like Hawlucha that were passed on, really.

Edit: You mentioned damage stuff Kurri ★ , I'm curious to what exactly were you getting in terms of numbers. The curiosity got to me, so I looked up some articles/vids on SRK and found stuff like these.

It's been over a year since I last touched the game. I can't really 100% tell you. I just recall trying some things out with Braixen and I'd try to end them with a super. Last I checked, in a lot of cases, it's better not to end with a super.

. . .If Pokken is leaked, I'm going to take that as a sign that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is well into the pipeline as well.

Pokemon Company gave examples of things that could be released on the Switch without as much fiddling as mainline games and it felt weirdly specific, and Chunsoft is already on the dev list for the system.

I anticipated this. I'm still thinking the others will be DLC.

No different from how Hyrule Warriors only had Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword originally.


Though this does all but confirm they're going the Hyrule Warriors route of "smaller but more unique roster."

Yeah, that's. . .not a sane excuse.

The right route would have been to quietly avoid the issue and then dump the other popular eras in as DLC Hyrule Warriors style. That game went for only three settings too and they dumped in a bunch more later.

Like, those happen to be the three games I've actually played and the characters from other games that people beg for would have fallen completely flat on me, but the excuse is still a bit insane.

They BETTER have a bunch of good non-sword users if that's what they're peddling. They already blew it a bit in my eyes by adding not one but two sword wielding OCs that are so incredibly generic looking that they make Marth and Chrom look unique by comparison. Who knows, maybe that's what they were going for, but that's still awful character design.

What also pisses me off is Shadow Dragon. Sure, it's the first game, but that game aged HORRIBLY. "But Gwen, Gaiden didn't age well either but you love Echoes!" That's because Echoes actually put in things that make it stand out unlike Shadow Dragon which only added arenas and a flimsy weapon triangle. Echoes has supports! Skills! Arts! Even IS knows they screwed up Marth's remake by adding supports in the sequel! Which also is known for being the worst self-insert fanfic by anyone who knows about it

Most of the characters may not get much time to shine without Supports, but thanks to Caeda being used to recruit like half the cast she's got a bit more going for her. I think the recruitment that takes the cake actually got posted here recently. If Marth is the inspiration of that army then Caeda's the guile.

Hoooopefully with the excuse for the cast restrictions that means they won't do to her what Heroes did.

Sure, Sheeda's memorable, but doesn't fix most of the issues I have with the game, including the stupid decision that only Marth can visit villages. As a remake, it's terrible as it stayed far too close to the original, changed the character of the main protagonist and looks goddamn ugly. At least the music is absolute bliss. Medeus' SD theme is amazing

You aren't wrong, but that's fixed by playstyle. Calling it now, one of the OCs will play with a fighting style similar to Ike and another one will be a Myrmidon style that Lyn could have used. Or a refined rapier style Eirika or Ephraim could use
