I've been watching the story of Injustice 2.

And... **** this is depressing.

Yeah I must say it's pretty so-so this time around. I watched a stream of it for my own curiosity's sake. The biggest issue is actually that the plot is too straight forward with no real interesting twist and turns. The production is nice, like most of NRS games are in that department. But it's a pretty standard affair imo, where it needed more "dumb comic stuff", I'd say.

• Supergirl has to go through the ordeal of seeing Superman becoming the monster he is now.

I'm just sad at Superman becoming absolutely vile.

But yeah. Superman turn further into basically a facist overlord is pretty sad to see. There's probably a better story to be made where a antagonist Superman is a thing and done well (it's probably been done in some comic story I don't know of), but that would need some more nuance that is not typical present in what is often a fun time waster in a fighting game.

I'll stand by my critique that the actual main story is pretty paint by numbers. Dealing with that alternate timeline stuff in the first story was pretty fun. The premise of this one seems so standard in comparison.
