Ghost Freak was probably my favorite villain out of the original series. Though mostly because of the first episode where he separated from the Omnitrix (which was a huge shock to me) and also because his entire ensemble of alien baddies were awesome altogether.

Funny thing about Diamondhead is that I didn't realize his name was a reference to something until I was on vacation in Hawaii and saw the rock with the same name.

Kirito from SAO - Don't make him this overpowered hero from the get-go. Make him feel more human by letting him start weak but gradually become strong overtime. Also, make sure he doesn't achieve a harem. All these changes basically amount to "make Kirito less of a Gary Stu."

The changes you can make to this character likable can be just a few simple tweaks, or if you want, you can choose to make a ton of changes to the point you could even rewrite the character entirely.

Azura in Fire Emblem Fates.

Make her less of an unnecessary secret keeper and don't force her to basically be the canon love interest (I just think it's stupid how you can marry other characters yet your interactions with Azura in the story are almost always more intimate). And just make her less of a Mary Sue in general. She's rarely called out on her **** (my boy Silas knows what's good tho) so we needed more of that to make her seem more human and believable, particularly in the main story. And let Corrin think for himself/herself rather than Azura having the answer to everything. Also have her solve more problems without using songs, I think they relied on that too much. Felt like lazy writing - "oh, we wrote the characters into a situation they probably can't realistically get out of? Better have Azura break out the karaoke".
