slow as **** pacing to not get ahead of the manga while getting almost nothing important done

It is odd that they took their sweet time to make a second season.

Granted, with the level of animation Attack of Titan has, it's understandable it would take awhile. But with the large amount of hype and success the first season got, you'd think they would get to the second season asap.

No, they're saving them. You think they didn't know Sagat & Sakura were huge fan requests? They're some of the most popular characters in the franchise, bar none. Their reintroduction is being planned.

Ikes voice sounds weird in Heroes. I love Ninian, Linde and Julia's voices.

He actually has a replacement voice in Heroes. Jason Adkins didn't voice him again, likely due to working out of Seattle.

Greg Chun, the voice of Ephraim, does his voice in Heroes. Honestly he sounds more like Ike than Jason has lately. He sounded notably off in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. and Fates, likely due to how much time has passed since Radiant Dawn. Chun honestly sounds closer IMO.

Cool, what else was leaked with the update?

From what I could find:
- 10 new arena maps, mostly focused around the new terrain defence bonus feature (that boat map is one of them, so not quite Celica hype yet)
- Five new "Defensive Battles" maps, with the maps again based around the new terrain features (similar to the Starter Support maps, basically, and they come with lots of quests too. A couple of people have jumped the gun and are claiming these are new story maps, which would appear to be incorrect)
- Ursula's Grand Hero battle is returning, along with several quests that involve using her (a few people have mentioned Narcian as well; I'll check on this myself in a bit)
- Possibly a new debuff/status effect that stops people from attacking (they added an icon to that effect, at least; I'll see if there are any text strings that might give any more clues)

That's all I could find of interest, anyway.

In latest and (maybe greatest?) of the world of live action video game adaptations, Contra is getting a film for Chinese release in 2019. Part of me is kinda curious to see it. The original is such a send-up to films at the time that, conceptually, it should not be hard to make a fun action flick with the Contra name. Of course, with history to show, it'll probably be mediocre.

Man, these were good and I liked the different atmosphere it had

Aquamarine and Topaz are the first real threats the Gems have had since, what, forever?
Only Jasper was ever realky a threat but she was easily beaten soon afterwards and all she had going for her was being stonger than the others.
Aquamarine has a ****ing magic wand that they still have no idea how to counter and Topaz is even buffier than Jaspy.
Guess Pearl's concern really is justified.

Can we now maybe get Peridot and Lapis to do something and help them out? I need Lapis beating the **** out of Aquamarine.

The first 5 episodes had pacing issues (though personally, only episode 3 felt like a drag IMO), but I can confirm that it is from episode 6 onward season 2 gets really good.

Episode 6 got little discussion here, but elsewhere on the Internet, it was the talk-of-the-weekend from what I've seen.

As for why season 2 is 12 episodes instead of 24-25 episodes, it's because of the staffing and overproduction issues in the Japanese animation market, and WIT Studio is among the studios that is hit pretty hard by it.

Yep, Kabaneri was the main reason why AoT season 2 got delayed until 2017. If it weren't for that, we would've gotten season 2 back in 2016.

And with Kabaneri season 2 confirmed for next year, we're probably not getting AoT season 3 until 2019 at the earliest... assuming AoT season 3 will even happen considering the problems facing WIT Studio right now.
