Two first episodes are GUREAITO.
Third and fourth episode have a little too much exposition but it's shaping up to be REALLY good with the fifth and that ****ing reveal+cliffhanger ending.

The premise of fictional characters coming to the real world and how they deal with the fact they're mere creations is interesting and something they're clearly using to the full extent, it reminds me of Fate/Zero(Aoki directed both series too) though it seems they're setting up two factions and the various genres they're from gives a lot of diversity to the cast. Like, you've got discount!Shinji with his huge Mecha, discount!Lancer Arturia with a Pegasus, a Magical girl, a Stand user, etc etc.
And there's some sort of mystery with Himegimi's(the Militar Uniform Princess) true identity and her Creator.
It also helps that Sawano is doing the music and it's ****ing hype.

I can't blame someone for getting hored with the exposition episodes(though they do make sure to have other stuff going on) but I feel it's a good long-term investment, even though I'm not someone who gets bored easily considering two of my favorite anime, the Fate series and MHA, have really slow starts and those weren't that annoying for me to go through.

Ed's design is still weird, namely the hat and hair. But his playstyle seems pretty cool. So I'll give him that. I wasn't expecting the Terry Bogard stuff out of him.

Going by that guy's findings, it's a combination of Archie feeling Sonic doesn't fit their brand image, and SEGA wanting more money for the license, though the former seems to be the primary reason. SEGA asking for more money probably just hastened the inevitable.

In a nutshell, blame Riverdale. Can't have comics about blue hedgehogs under the Archie name when they have a super-serious show about how Archie ***** his teacher and becomes a sellout to a rich family going on.
