Dissidia looks more graphically intensive than Dark Souls 3 if you ask me. The character models are basically CGI quality, and the maps are fairly big and detailed themselves. It also has a crap ton of particle effects going on all of the time, plus the summon mechanic, which are the two main things I think will stop it from being on the Switch.I don't think they'll need to tone down that much if Dark Souls 3 can run on Switch. Plus considering how long Dissidia has been in the Arcade, it'll probably still be a long time before Dissidia gets a console release and by then, Koei Tecmo will likely have a lot of experience with the Switch to make porting more easier and whatever other updates happen with the Switch.Plus graphics are overrated. I could care less about a downgrade.
The summon mechanic is definitely another story. That does have potential to mess with framerate and whatnot.
I wouldn't bank on this being a Switch game, it's highly unlikely most of Square Enix's bigger budget projects will be coming to Switch, since they would need severe graphical and mechanical downgrades to run competently, to the point you may as well not be playing them. Say what you will about how much graphics matter, but the ridiculous amount of particle effects and bombastic summons and what not are a part of the mainstream Final Fantasy identity. Taking that out of Dissidia would remove one of the more appealing aspects of the game.
The game was also made with the PS4 in mind from the start (the arcade version runs on modified PS4 hardware), so I imagine the engine is too specialised at this point to be ported to something else with lower specs.
