Actually, FE6 in general just throws way too many units of the same class at you, one prepromote and 2 unpromoted are enough for most classes(and I just got my 4th Archer, no thanks, Klain is doing fine). I'd like a prepromote General but I don't think there is one

You do get a prepromote general later. You get a prepromote in every class except Wyvern rider. (unless you could trial map units)

Took IS until FE8 to realise no one does Ironman Runs anymore when the number of units drastically decreased

I know plenty of people who do ironman runs.

Either way, more units = more choices/options. Having a ton of one type of unit to pick from doesn't really seem like a problem to me.

So in my rpg all characters and enemies are a certain element. There's 13 elements(but 1 is enemy exclusive)

Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Dark, Soul, Blood, Poison, Ice, Lightning, Energy and Neutral. Every element is strong against 2 and weak against 2 except for Neutral which has no weaknesses. Attacking an elemental weakness does 150% damage and no party member is Neutral element.

That reminds me of an element system I made based of the planets:

iirc, it was for a monster catching game idea.

Basically, species determine the zoology of the creatures, and you can combine two species for more unique subspecies. So for example:
Homonid+Anything gives it a human-like form. So Homonid+Fairy=Angels

And then each sign is like the typing or category. So an Angel under Saturn = Dark Angel for example.

Each sign has a Yin and a Yang, each one with two elements. And a creature can only learn techniques from that specific sign.

In addition, each star sign tends to have general properties and characteristics that pertain to it, outside from the two elements of each one.

On a general level, like the colors in MtG, the Signs each have different philosophies and concepts that pertain to each monster. Gaia for example is strong and nurturing. Mars is aggresive and reckless, etc... This also reflects in the general stat distributions. For example Gaia tends to have very strong Physical attackers, Mercury very Speedy monsters, Venus tends to use diversionary tactics and ailments to gain the upper hand, etc...

Stat buffing, and Raw Power. Hits hard, hits fast. Relentless destructive force. Aggressive physical fighters, poor coordination and planning, easy to confuse or corrupt.

The Protector. Specialists boasting the strongest defense and very lengthy casting times for powerful Special moves. Also known for their great luck.

I never wrote one for Pluto, since I added that later, but the idea was frail, uses regen, and reanimation, and Ice techs.

I may wind up using this some day. I think I remember making a variant of this planet=element system for my Muse comic's magic system as well. Where each sign was essentially a Patron worshipped, and that's how you gained access to those attributes and techniques. etc...

Also, just got back from Assassin's Creed. I am truly amazed as Ubisoft did something I thought was impossible, never before have I only had a single thought when I was watching a movie. That thought of course, being "Meh". The ONLY time I didn't have this thought was when I accidentally bit my tongue when chewing popcorn

To be fair, he is pretty bulky. Just don't bring magic near him or anyone who has a high critical rate near him.

I usually incapacitate him with sleep staves.

I've heard that apparently a popular strategy is to trap him in a room with Lalum since Douglas will never attack her or Elphin.

Edit: Either way, it's got nothing on Xavier's recruitment in FE5.

If with 3D, you purely mean graphics. And BrawlOut, while absolutely ****ed due to Paco, still exists. The Nintendo characters don't make the game, they're pretty much there for the sake of guaranteed sales. Think about it, what sounds more appealing: "Nintendo's experimental fighting game" or "Nintendo's experimental fighting game...WITH NINTENDO CHARACTERS"

Ehhhhhhh, I'd say that's not really the case. To me, here's what makes Chrom unique. He's a big goofball who has pies and ****, with Uncle Sam pics of him spread around the camps, etc.

Also, fun fact about me: Whenever I hear The Devoted, I imagine Ike riding a toy horse and wielding a squeaky hammer utterly decimating a huge ass army of knights, ninjas, dragons, wizards and more all by himself

Umm...did we play the same game?

They literally never even TRIED to make Chrom seem "short tempered." Unless you're talking about his "Now I'm angry" mid-fight line, which doesn't even fit as that since it's more of a heat-of-battle declaration than anything, I'm not sure where you got that. Beyond that the only time Chrom even really raged at anything was the Midmire map, but considering what'd transpired the chapter before, it was entirely justified. And even then it was more of a subdued rage, and not at all a fly-off-the-handle type of thing.


Chrom's whole thing was never to be short tempered, but instead just a nice guy who genuinely looks after his soldiers like family. He's the straightman in a ragtag group of misfits, while also being a powerhouse in combat. Temper was never an issue with him. That was never his character flaw; his flaw came from his over-reliance on intuition than anything else.
