I wouldn't look much into it. Nintendo has used Samus, Pikmin ect a lot and it doesn't mean anything except that they still regard it as a pretty strong / popular IP. e.g my nintendo 3ds themes, 3DS AR Cards, shop by character sections on Wii U eshop ect.

Surprised Fire Emblem doesn't have an icon, yet.

True, but we're 100% getting an AC title on the Switch. I'm fully expecting to see it in 2018.

Though fwiw I also believe we're going to be getting a Metroid title revealed before this time next year.

Starfox, I doubt we see any time soon.

The system setup is so simple and fast. This reminds me of the original DS system software setup. It's interesting to note that while you can select any language, you can only select "regions" instead of specific countries. I suppose that has to do with the fact it's region-free.
