To change of topic, here's a prognostic of who would be Tokyo's 2020 Olympics' champion:

Sorry, instant disqualification for using supplemental equipment, natural human bodies only.

Also, you guys know any good affordable smart phones, that would be able to run the Nintendo mobile games, and something like Love Live School Idol Festival?

A lot of RPGs seem overly complicated honestly.

Tales and Xenoblade being the worst offenders.

That said, I love them both and managed to learn enough to beat multiple games.

Tales more zigzags around it, but it's no coincidence the games that try to over complicate things end up being shoddy (Zestiria being a recent example.)

I can relate to this.

I'm reading the YMMV page in Tvtropes on the first Xenoblade and

>Shulk apparently being divisive over alleged "generic-ness"
>The canon pairing not being outright disliked but also had people feeling it was forced
>White haired girl gets cucked in more ways than one

History really does repeat itself.

I'm honestly surprised how extremely well I am doing at Mario + Rabbids.

The amount of tactical RPG experience I have before is next to non-existent. I've tried Advance Wars and a Fire Emblem game but I grew bored quickly on both because I had problems progressing in them (and I haven't played Chess in years if that means anything)

And yet it's quite possibly my most favorite game of 2017 with SOOO many hours put in it and have gotten gold rankings on all missions minus about 3 or 4 (I'll get back to them once I beat the main story),

But right now the current mission I'm on is getting to be a total pain.

RPGs having complex battle systems was always a thing, just look at the good ol' Tabletop RPGs. Doesn't mean it needs be that way, the fact the most popular RPGs out there, Final Fantasy and Pokemon, have very simple combat systems has probably something to do with their wide appeal.

Shulk does have some very anime MC tropes in him like "we shouldn't kill each other" in the final Metal Face battle and the whole "trying to save the villains because there is still good in them" thing). He does have more going for him though.

Persona 3 and 4 (especially their Reincarnation remix) music are great. P5 is mindblowingly good.

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess also have great soundtrack too imo, and so does the likes of Kingdom Hearts.

I love going back to Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy IX, Samurai Warriors 4 and Xenosaga 3 on occasion.

Those are just what I think anyway. Probably missing out on more. I'll just put it out there, but Yuki Kajiura's one of my favorite composers.

The 2 you specified I thought had a bit more to them.
I mean, the first one didn't really sound like, "We shouldn't kill each other." but more like "If you are just as willing to kill him, what's going to stop you from killing the other Holmes who are also being used." Or at least, it sounded alot more like Batman speech about how he wanted to do many things to Joker after Todd's death, but knew that if he went down that path, he was never going to come back from it. Similar to the whole bit about habits and whatnot, like, "If you are willing to break a promise for a good reason, you become or are just as willing to break a promise for any reason." Or "If you kill one person for a good reason, you are going to start killing people for any reason." That whole deal.
The 2nd one I thought was reasonable. And also, sometimes people don't save villains because they have a little good in them. Sometimes people save others because they relate to them or see that they are just in much pain as they are or were.
I mean, Egil's goal was revenge, much like Shulk was.

There's an interesting article from E3 back in June interviewing the producer and art director: https://shigerunews.com/2017/06/19/...elopers-talk-about-future-dlc-world-building/

The first part says they had a specific number in mind but if popularity stays strong afterwards, they'll continue.

It also says they are preparing a proper background story for the game (but I have a feeling the upcoming graphic novel is what they're talking about).

Again, I'm expecting nothing right now.

So I know absolutely nothing about Dangan Rompa beyond there being a bear of some sort and lots of murder.

That being said, I thought this video was funny. It's basically a giant voice actor joke, with Fire Emblem characters getting a DR quote for their critical hits based on their shared DR voice actor.

Saber and Lyn were the best though. Also language warning.
I know nothing either but those two, garon and cordelia had me laughing really hard.

Oh my, time sure flies when you're arguing about FE and supporting the same characters from 2004. ;P

I'm not saying it wasn't reasonable or justified for Shulk to do those things but it doesn't change the fact they're incredibly overused anime cliches

Only just got to Chapter 4 last night, and...that does not bode well for Nia.

Especially if the cutscenes at the end of Chapter 3 were implying what I thought they were...

You could do so many good things.

Like swapping bodies with Trump so Americans can have a better President :troll:
I’d make Trump and Pence swap bodies with their wives.

You just want to do lewd things with someone's body, don't you?
Nah I want to steal young people’s bodies so I essentially gain immortality. :cheep:

I'm pretty sure they are overused in general and not just anime. I think we just notice it in anime more because very often both the actions and message are repeated(not to mention as far as I know, this board isn't into books often). I have read a number of books that do have the same message, but it doesn't appear as noticeable as some of them do different actions while still conveying the same message.
I think one of my favourites when it comes to delivering the whole "Do it once, you'll be willing to do it again for even wrong reasons." message is in Terry Pratchett's "Thud!" of the Discworld series, specifically the City Watch series. You may need to read the other books of the City Watch series to get a feel for the characters, but Thud, in my opinion, had one of the best uses(and one of the funniest) when it came to delivering the message.

You'll still most likely be doing lewd things if you're gonna stay with their body for that long
That would be me.
I mean, I can't blame you tbh

Doing well and wondering where this body swap discussion will lead us to.
Hopefully not in the same direction other fetish discussions have went to before.

In terms of all the music together as a soundtrack?

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, DKC2, Xenoblade Chronicles, Skyward Sword, Majora's Mask.

Mario has catchy music but up until Galaxy there wasn't any music that I just wanted to listen to from the Mario games with the exception of World's overworld theme.

Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, FF4, Pokemon Black, Wind Waker, Bravely Default, Mystical Ninjas starring Goemon, Banjo Kazooie.

These have the best music.

so while we got down time id like to push an rpg coming out in just a few weeks its a midquel to one of my favorite ps4 games
and the most stylish things to come out pre persona 5, im of course speaking of Digimon story Cyber sleuth: hackers memory

now even if you have zero nostalgia for digimon i cant stress that the first game was really good like REALLY good
something to note is that digimon while marketed for kids in the west, never was originally in japan it was for young adults, which is why the first cyber sleuth got more smt than most persona games, and why people got super suprised by the first game(which oddly enough means the series has unintentionally grown with its audience in the west despite always being this way in japan)
not to mention the side quests which range from heart warming to soul destroyingly BLEAK.

now things i should mention because cyber sleuth is an rpg with a lot of depth should you look for it
1- your digimon have max levels that you can increase by de digivolving them down a stage and then digivolving them back up once you hit the requirements, this is important because unlike say pokemon msot digimon dont have set paths(as a matter of fact think of the digivolution line as a tree theres like 5 roots and with enough navigation you can move a digimon from one end of the tree all the way to the other, and theres LOADS of branches

2- you have three digimon out at all times and they take their turns ala final fantasy 10(the best part about that game)
whats more when you use a turn to switch digimon out of your reserves you can switch out as many party members as you desire
at a time

3- your party is limited by your memory stat see each digimon has a cost to put into your party and as you progress through the game youll get memory up items, this is important for team planning as you might royaly screw yourself over if your not carefull

4- there are these things called digimon farms, think pc's from pokemon but with the pelago pre gen 7, aving digimon in your farm is super benefitical as they can be sent out to find items, renewable sidequests(read easy money and exp) or make items(which are influenced by the digimons personalities which can be changed later on in the game)

5- this game has game overs so save often

6- the music is fantastic

thats all ill say on the subject outside of one thing PREORDER hackers memory is any of this sounds intresting namco is ****ty about preorder dlc(as in they often never release it later) so dont make the mistake of not getting the preorder dlc digimon
