Heavy Blade only affects the atk-stat shown on screen, so Death Blow/Swift Sparrow/Everything Siegbert has does not count towards it so Life and Death, Fury and Atk +3 are the only A-skills that counts towards it.
Hone skills do still boost that attack stat, but I wouldn't worry about the likes od Lyn and Reinhardt getting even more powerful.
Iote's Shield given out for free is actually the big deal here. Can't see many Flier units that wouldn't run this, so aside from missing out on a Seal slot, Fliers lost their main weakness.

So yeah, snack time Minerva!

I believe Heavy Blade is affected by Death Blow/Swift Sparrow/Spurs as not only do they actually raise your ATK rather than your damage like the Blade Tomes, but besides mentioning that Spurs do affect Heavy Blade, someone also mentioned that Heavy Blade loses it's effect when attacked by a character with Death Blow who reaches higher ATK than your HB character.

But there is no doubt that Iote's Shield is also a big deal, as this gets rid of Fliers biggest weakness, especially in a Meta where Brave Lyn is absolutely common to face. Fliers with High Defense like Michalis, Minerva, Beruka, Subaki can now use their useful Defense to tank Archers and Spring Camilla can use her reliable Defense to tank and destroy Archers with Gronraven/Gronblade. It's a big deal as not only does it allow Fliers to be less screwed by random Archers, but now all versions of Brave Lyn(Mulagir/Brave Bow/Firesweep Bow) can be more reliably countered.

Actually Blade tomes are added in-battle Atk as they are affected by Dragon Fang, Draconic Aura and the WT
So yeah, that could be pretty ****ing dangerous, I might give Dragon Fang Heavy Blade Nino a shot

Did more pulls on the Christmas banner, and got Merric on 4.50 pitty rate. Was slightly upset but not to far after I got Winter Chrom! So excited right now I then pulled a Clair at five stars which was surprising. I had one already but this one is plus res minus speed and better then my old one so I merged them. With seals and hones she can do good in flier emblem.

Going to use the tempest orbs to try and get one more unit from the banner.

Turns out Odin really likes Growing Wind :^)

Dark Excalibur + Growing Wind + Fury 3 to patch up his Attack is what I use, which makes him scary with his AoE. The rest is more up in the air (pardon the pun) but I also have Swap on mine for some shenanigans, and Vantage since it pairs well with Fury. Pretty vanilla but he gets the job done.

I have 28 bucks of spending money left.

I want to take advantage of the Street Fighter V season 2 sale on PS4.

The reason being that I want to get all the fight money I can before we lose that oppurtunity.

praline The max sig limit for non-Premium users is 160 pixels. You can easily tell by using the preview function of your sig, then copy-pasting it, and putting it in a program that shows the exact pixels(like MSPaint).

If it's larger than normal, your sig will auto cutoff itself.

Also Merric spawned his own archetype with the whole young(ish) bookish/nerdy wind mage, with folks like Luthier, Ricken, and Hayato following suit but never being quite as good, while Nino is just another in the Est archetype. So Merric is a trendsetter. :^)
