Welp, turns out I'm not getting a Switch for Christmas. Thought for sure I would, but apparently it wasn't clear to my parents I was interested.

Admittedly the only games out currently that I was likely to get for it we're FE Warriors and Mario Odyssey, but it's still a bit disappointing. At least I know ahead of time, so I can do my sulking over the weekend and not on Christmas itself.

So there's gonna be no more major content updates for ARMS after this update, according to Nintendo of Japan. The statement wasn't followed by "this year" or anything, so it seems pretty final. Kinda sad to see, since I thought it'd at least get a full year of extra content, due to the placeholder names. Maybe those guys will be saved for the sequel.

At least the game still has an active community, so at least it isn't dead.

Well, I'm going back to Fire Emblem Echoes again. Hard classic the second time. Made it back to Act 3. I was really only at the beginning my last play through.

My opinion of Echoes is that it was an alright game. I wonder if it'll improve as I'll plan to actually finish it.

I'm not too shocked, game was basically a glorified tech demo.

I would not be surprised if we saw a more robust sequel in 2019.

Ah, ****, the Inuyashiki finale.
There are only two emotions and they are when the OP starts playing at the climax and when the ED starts playing at the climax.
This was a great show and this ending was perfect for it, sad to see it go.

If there's a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 anime I will be super hyped. This may sound obvious but I do think Xenoblade Chronicles 2 anime is possible.
I can see them having the show with going with the main story but also add certain Blade quest scenarios in, but more better.

So I restarted Reborn(on a spare file not resetting my other one) after beating the latest episodes. They changed a lot of teams which is nice and is offering a new challenge.

I beat the first gym which is electric with Goldeen which was amazing.

Having Lighteningrod was really good though.

The second gym was tough, but luckily I managed to find numel which is a special event when it rains and that really came through. Gym two is grass but with a dessert theme that buffs the leader's team well. Their leading pokemon is cradily and it stalls so much. Numel burned it and saved the day.

Then not to long after if you trade this man a growlithle egg he gives you egg of a random mon out of like 15 choices.

I got one of the rarest and best ones which was Gastly. That's going on my team right away.

People are going on about this Catherine """controversy""" on Twitter and stuff now and I hate how all talk on the game is just going to be about that for the next year and nobody is going to talk about all of the other things the game is doing like adding an online mode that will expand the competitive scene that has miraculously stayed alive all these years, new scenes for the old characters, more endings even for the original two love interests, and how the addition of Rin could effect the underlying themes of the narrative, for better or worse.

I feel like I hopped way too late into the ARMS train despite getting it at launch, but that's because Nintendo introduced "real" replay value in October only to kill the game two months later.

Well, I concede there is still a veil of ambiguity in NoJ's phrasing, but seeing as NoA didn't come up and issue a reassuring statement to rectify the outburst about the death of updates on social media, I assume they're definitely done with supporting the game.

Meanwhile, due to my lack of funds, I sold both my PS4 and my 3DS to buy a Switch for my sister's Christmas gift. It's okay. I'll get new models eventually.
