Aw man

SEGA apparently rejected a trailer pitch for a Jet Set Radio game.

It looks cool too.

Darnit SEGA! You say you want to do more SEGA series than just Sonic, but your actions don't reflect your words.

I hope they continue to make games outside of Sonic because they rely on Sonic too much. It is highly popular; being the second most sold gaming franchise ( behind Mario but above Pokemon ). If Sonic were to stop then Sega would probably be dead and that is not good so they better step it up. At least if Mario dies they have Legend of Zelda and stuff.

Got Winter Tharja with my free pull and am still Chromless.

But on the bright side I can finally give Virion Close Counter.

SEGA has plenty more than just Sonic, people just assume that because NiGHTS, Jet Set Radio, Panzer Dragoon, Skies of Arcadia, and other older, obscure franchises aren't getting games, then SEGA is just relying on Sonic. Those franchises are less the Zelda or Pokémon of SEGA, and more the F-Zero and Earthbound and such.

If SEGA just relied on Sonic, they would be performing pretty poorly in Japan because Sonic isn't very popular in Japan.

Franchises like Super Monkey Ball, Puyo Puyo, Total War, Football Manager, etc, are all SEGA franchises that get games regularly and do well. Plus SEGA takes on plenty of licence deals, like the Alien games.

SEGA also bought Atlus, so the likes of Persona and Shin Megami Tensei are SEGA IPs now.

Also, friendly reminder that Bayonetta is a SEGA IP. People forget that these days.

Don't get me wrong, I want a new NiGHTS and JSR as much as the next guy, but this "SEGA only relies on Sonic" meme needs to stop.

Is that what you want to give though? After all, it'll probably be a long time before Vengeful Fighter comes out for a regular character.

I'm pretty sure it says numbers when even Sega didn't want to fund Bayonetta 2. It is a Sega IP, yes. But it's rather amusing how Sega's rival Nintendo is the reason why Bayonetta 2 happened and Bayonetta 3 is happening.

I barely run armor enough to make good enough use of Vengeful Fighter, honestly. Definitely thought about it though.

Meanwhile I basically always use Virion lol. I'm probably gonna wait until after the TT to do it in case she's a bonus unit though.

Broly might be in. Idk if anyone mentioned this but Ultimate Gohan has the Family Kamehameha as a level 3
Yeah I saw, don't think that necessarily confirms or denies him tbh.

Don't forget Yakuza, which is now seeing a revival in the west.

Got a couple presents for my family for Christmas (hope I didn't wait too long)
  • For my older brother's fiance: A Star Wars Trilogy DVD set (never watching Star Wars is a sin in my eyes).
  • For my twin brother: An 8 inch Fox McCloud statue (it was pricey but I'm sure it's worth it).
  • Failed to find it in stores but for my older brother: A copy of the movie "The Room" (if I don't find one, i'll just burn my digital copy onto a DVD).
Now to find ideas for my parents, little brother, and my sister-in-law.

Watched the stream.

If you saw the new gameplay from earlier then this is not much new, but we did finally hear the game dubbed... Unfortunately, the commentary drowned it out and I didn't even notice it was dubbed until the host pointed it out.

"special DBFZ livestream"

Yeah, very special indeed.

I don't know, maybe I was expecting more. But it was just way too freaking fast.

Tbf, if all those gameplay videos from Spain hadn't dropped this would've been pretty cool...

Otherwise I agree, they rushed it out. Dub was cool but you couldn't really appreciate with all the chatter going on. Hope we get some dubbed direct feed gameplay though, I know Max said he had a lot of videos coming on the way for DBFZ but idk if we're getting more from other places.

Exactly, also:

"Is Gotenks from GT?"
"Does Hit use ice?"

Like, couldn't they take a host that know Dragon Ball? The Gotenks one especially make me cringe inside .:yoshi64:

Yeah the host was pretty bad and uninformed.

Still, unintentional comedy is still comedy. :p

i don't know, I am laughing but I am still salty that he thought that Gotenks was from GT of all places.

But hey, atleast he didn't ask if Yamcha was Goku's brother or some masterpiece like that.:seuss:

I'm close to finally beating BotW, completed the Gerudo arc and now I'm going to try doing the Thunder Helm quest before heading off to Hyrule Castle.

I can now say that, in terms of their arcs: Zora>Gerudo>Rito>Goron
Zora has the best and most involved subplot imo, and the integration of gameplay elements into the story(in this case, the never ending rain) really helped it feel like the Divine Beast was a problem to the Zora. Sidon and Mipha are just great characters and fighting on Sidon's back was probably my favorite Beast fight. Mipha's Grace is the most boring of the blessings but at least it's really useful.

Gerudo's subplot doesn't come near Zora but Naboris's presence is the most physical out of all four, even if it's easily avoidable. The Yiga Clan making a part of this arc was also something I liked, even if Kohga is a letdown. The Beast fight was a mess though, it's the perfect example of "NPC's walking speed is faster than your walking speed and slower than your running speed", doesn't help it's impossible to control the Seal. Urbosa was the highlight for this as I loved her characterisation and her speech after setting sight onto Hyrule Castle. Urbosa's Fury is also exactly as I predicted(considering the other 3 were healing, defense and movement based) and I love it.

Rito was rather quick, I like that it went straight to the point but you barely got involved with them, all others had at least a cutscene introducing the Champion descendant but here it's just speech boxes and the next moment you notice you're fighting the Beast. The Beast fight was great though, my second favorite of them and the dungeon itself was my favorite. I loved Raviolli even if he gets very little screentime and Raviolli's Gale is also my favorite blessing because it cheeses so much stuff it isn't even funny.

Goron was the low point to me, you don't even notice the beast is there, the subplot is just non-existant, whatever-his-name-is is a boring descendant, the Beast fight isn't even a fight and the game forces you to spend a ****ton of money into the armor set or else you're ****ed(not to mention you are on a timer to even get to Goron City in the first place). Daruk was a cool character but didn't stand out to me, he's not bad but he lacks in comparison to the others. Daruk's Protection is rather meh, it's intuitive at least, I guess.

Also, I really wish this game had a Fashion Gear option because I really ****ing want to keep using the Hylian Hoodie and the Hylian Tunic but they don't prevent me from freezing or burning to death nor help me actually climb ****. In the end, I have to go for the aesthetic because **** me, I could have climbed that wall if I had the climbing gear on but I would be a Hylian without a hoodie on top of the mountain and I'd rather be a dead Hylian with a hoodie

Potions help for heat waves and cold weather. Actually making them is annoying if you don't have a guide though.

Edibles in general make clothing bonuses borderline irrelevant, you can wear almost anything you want and let the Elixirs do the dirty work. Though it won't help much with raw defense, but I'm assuming you're upgrading stuff anyway. Also, sadly there's no potions for climbing last time I checked.

Decided to start re-watching Steins;Gate, I'm already convinced it's still one of my personal top anime.

Probably my second or third favourite anime or something like that.

Tbh, I tend to not use potions most of the time
One, because I forget they even exist and second because I'm a compulsive saver

Well, after playing Fallout 3, my favorite Fallout games (that I've played) list has changed.

Fallout 4 is still last. New Vegas is still first. Fallout 3 is closer to New Vegas than it is to Fallout 4.

Hell I even like Shelter better than 4. Lol

Tomorrow, Brawlout finally launches on the Switch. Can't wait (glad I pre-purchased).

In a recent interview, they've stated they are uncertain on cross-platform support for concerns of possible framerate and inputs problems (but will look into it).

Still can't decide which character I'll try first when I boot up Brawlout tomorrow.

Also, I really don't understand how the full game launches on the Switch in a matter of hours and the Steam version that's been out for 8 months is still in its Early Access stage.

Finished BotW, I'll post my thoughts tomorrow, too tired for that now.

Also, I found out that a 3* Nino I pulled is +Atk/-Def and while +Spd is the optimal IV for her, my current one was +HP/-Def so thanks to the Arena rewards, I now have a really buff Nino at +4

Maybe I'll try some of the previous world chapters in Mario + Rabbids to collect power orbs before continuing the story.
