I'm thinking that too, both universes have lost their MVPs and the preview sets it up as the remnants lining up to get knocked out, so I could see both meeting their end next week.

I will say though, I'm surprised that both of them could get knocked out next episode instead of 3 considering they have had a pretty weak showing out of the remaining universes (in fact, I'd say it's almost as bad as 10). At the very least I thought 6 would last longer since they had four characters with a lot of focus on top of also being 7's sister universe.

I'm not really sure the changes are better. Some are different. But it's kinda like a "Spot the difference" game. Where things are kinda different but if you don't pay much attention you won't notice it. Some of the changes are only made with the intention you do know the original, subverting expectations just because you knew the way it went before.

The trials are different. They are kinda streamlined. Faster. Makes some of them less memorable. Could also make some less boring.

There were some good changes to the game, but excluding those changes the story in the first game is kind of better. Sure add Necrozma integrated with the first story and it'd be fine.

The Ultra Recon Squad kind of seemed to be integrated as little as possible to not divert the elements of the story from the first game. It'd take a lot more effort to integrate them more. Make them impactful as characters.

The Ultra Recon Squad and Poipole you see the whole game isn't even the poipole you get from the Squad you've seen. It's from the Squad of the other game you didn't play

Honestly the only thing I like from this game was Poipole's evolution which I still haven't learned it's name. And the fights against the old team leaders. Though I was hoping Guzma was more involved.

With 800+ Moons collected as for now, I can safely say that Mario Odyssey is not only a cure for cancer, but has also surpassed Galaxy 1 for the title of my favorite 3D Mario game.

It is even behind Metroid Prime in my Top 10 most favorite games.

From what I heard about USUM, what seens to really set it apart from SM is the difficulty.
Like, people are claiming it to be harder than the originals and that's before even considering THAT thing.
I just wish GF would do more boss battles in that style, Totem Pokemon were a start but I really hope it becomes a trend with stupidly powerful Legendaries.

Also, it seems USUM didn't even fix the postgame issues which is :/
Like, don't get me wrong, TRR is a start and much better than one ****ing town in XY but it's still not a new area or anything.
I don't expect any games to go full GSC and give us anotger region but at least be like Gen 5 where you still had parts of the map to explore or have an actual postgame dungeon for a Legendary to catch instead of them just being handled to you(Mewtwo is just there in XY and don't get me started on the birds; and ORAS and USUM have this "catch all Legendary Pokemon!" which would be cool if there was any challenge to it but it's basocally the sane thing as Mewtwo in XY).
I really want Pokemon to bring back those brutal bonus dungeons but it seems like it doesn't matter anymore. I'd love for something like Mt.Silver.
Battle Facilities aren't something actually fun to do and just feel like grinds, fighting old characters loses its charm when they're all Lv50 and it's just 3 of your Pokemon or 4 if it's a Double Battle.

I'll go get the Chrom prayer circle started, as is tradition. Though honestly it's a toss up as far as who they could add. I definitely think it'll be one of Marth, Alm, Celica, Chrom, Lucina, or Corrin though. Series mascot, two lords from the latest game, the two that appear in the most crossovers, or the lord from the best selling title. Outside shot of Lyn or Ike for popularity but I doubt it.

Honestly the only thing I like from this game was Poipole's evolution which I still haven't learned it's name.

I was actually disappointed to find out UB Adhesive evolves... The evolution is okay but I've always felt that the Pokemon with simple designs end up making a stronger impression. Poipole is like an ultra-beast Mew. Becoming a hornet-dragon-thing or whatever just wasn't necessary. Zeraora is an example of one that is rather basic but I'd wager it'll be more memorable than the rest--despite the fact that it isn't even obtainable yet.

The sad thing is that even if it is real, I really don't know whether to be truly excited or not. I want it to be real, but for all I know, Namco might pull another one and mess with it and it's dev team like they did with Soul Calibur 5.

"Sonny" is on sale during the steam winter sale, but every time I think I want to get it, I remember that they actually have less features in this fully released title on steam than when it was a free flash game.

Part of the fun of the game was finding the different full sets of gear and dressing the characters in them and it changed their appearance. All items do in the steam version is modify stats while the characters appear the same. I know it's like that for most RPG's, but when you have less and start selling it for money it just feels kind of lame.

Give me normal Kilik, Taki and Zasalamel, guests can come later, as much as I like them. Though getting to play Link again would neat. I don't doubt that Siegfried is gonna be in it, he should be, that's my dude too.

I know it ain't happening, but if the FE character is Ike or Black Knight, I'd genuinely be stoked.

While I'm all for old characters returning, I just personally hope that they don't try to shove SCV's roster(and Soul Calibur V in general) under the rug. Because the roster was certainly not SCV's main problem.

In fact, with so many fighting games having guest characters and/or crossovers these days, it might as well be mandatory to include them.

Nowadays, it's certainly a common occurrence. But Guest Stars were one of the reasons why Soul Calibur was known back then when SCII happened.
-II had Link, Heihachi and Spawn.
-III was going to have Dante, but something happened, so there were no Guest Stars in III, although KOS-MOS made a cameo in the form of an outfit.
-Legends had Lloyd.
-IV had the Star Wars characters.
-Broken Destiny had Kratos.
-V had Ezio.

Just go back to SC3's roster and add back Hilde, Anime Wolf Stand Man and the Chick with the Ball. I'd like to see Soul Calibur tackle a full on archer. We got glimpes of that with Link and Ezio. But someone who uses the bow for close range hits and is primarily keep-a-way could be a unique perspective.

We know Cervantes has had the pistol on his sword for a while, so it wouldn't be too out of place. I'd also like the Bladed Fan from SC3 to be given to a full fledged character. Those Wave Swords could work out well too. And the armored Legs.

I feel like the reveal of this My Hero Academia game will be something of a mixed bag. Like "it's an Arc System Works fighter! ...exclusively for the 3DS."

Admittedly, I wouldn't be mad at that one (based on ASW's Dragon Ball and One Piece 3DS games, the sprites would be fantastic), but I'd imagine that a lot of people would be.
