Honestly I forgot about Nowi mainly cause i'd always turn her into a Wyvern Knight. Yeah she was weird and very inappropriately dressed for someone that looked 13 at best.

I'd argue that it does harm, but not in the way you think. In a vacuum, Pyra's design is "just a little skin" (which it really isn't but I digress), but when looking at female character design as a whole, she is but one more character who's sex appeal is amped up for no reason other than to be sexy in an industry absolutely flooded with them. She is nothing more than an object and that's a major issue.

inb4: Someone mentions how guys are objectified too

There is so much more variety for the design of male characters, being designed for sex appeal isn't the standard, it's just a decision. Whereas for female characters deviating from conventional beauty norms is such a rarity, it's ridiculous.

Technically she is an object when she's a sword.

Since we're talking so much about character design, I decided to have another go at making a basic start for my character design I've kept in mind.

It needs quite a lot of work for me to be comfortable with it, but serviceable start? I figured I'd justify everything by having it be winter clothing that was stripped down slightly when suddenly ending up in warmer weather.

One of the many problems of being a 1,000 year old dragon that didn't grow in size.

Regardless, I thought her character was good. Or at least, I see the intention behind her character when you look at her supports with Gregor and Nah. Also, I thought her support with Vaike was one of her best ones.

I wouldn't hold my breath. While writing can actually give the sex appeal more purpose, looking at Bayonetta, it'd would have been established from the get-go. Her design is solely to be sexy, that doesn't mean she can't be a well written character, there are a lot of characters who's design is solely meant for sex appeal and nothing more but are still well written characters. Sex appeal and writing aren't opposite ends of a spectrum.

She's connected to the sword and both are connected to the Driver; it is not about objects, it is about synergy.

This is supported by the trailers showing Pyra being capable of one-on-one combat and the devs saying there's quests where Blades are fully playable.

I think it's because it gets spammed so much that people are starting to get sick of it. Code of Princess in particular is. . .egregious.

In other news (I promise its actual news) I have Halo Wars. Got it a couple days ago. The campaign so far hasn't been great, but I love Skirmish.
