The mexican Lays brand introduced chip flavors of other countries here, I bought the ones from China (called "Zhilli Dong Fang"), they're very good. My mom asked what I was eating and I said while reading the bag: "Dong Flavor chips"

Congrats Mandala, you played yourself.

Good choice
Since my Internet is unable to play Splatoon 2,yeah.
But not really if I want to buy Super Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in the future.
I am praying Xenoblade Chronicles 2 can come before December 10. Because I am leaving US that week and I want NA version.

Tbh the game still smells like delay to me. Yes, it looked way more polished on the most recent gameplay posted, but after they said an area of the game was still unfinished, the idea of a 2017 release gets smaller, hopefuly Im wrong, but I think the final release date will be Feb 2018.

I finished the very first Sonic game!

So, what did I think of it?

Well, first of all, it is very clear that, this game have alot of Early Installment Weirdness. While Green Hill Zone, Spring Yard Zone and Star Light Zone are level that, once you understand what to do and where to go (always go up, never go down and you should be good) by replaying enough time and if you know how Sonic physic work, can be finished pretty quickly. The rest of the games is more like a traditional slow plaform game. And while one can make an argument that it go against what Sonic is supposed to be. As the first game in the franchise, I honestly don't mind that and welcome the change of pace before going back to the more speed levels.

On that note, while levels like Labyrinth Zone and Marble Zone are indeed very slow at some moment. The little shortcut that you can take here and there if you explore enough can make some act easy to finish. Labyrinth Zone is also very generous on bubbles. So aslong you don't ignore them too much. There is little risk of actually drowning, and the only time I drowned was on the last act of Scrap Brain Zone. Because the bubbles don't spawn fast enough to save you. Sooo it's kinda of a bad game design in my opinion, but the next time I came back. I had enough time to get the bubble, so, gotta go fast I guess.

Finally, the difficulty is really varied. I suprisely didn't have problem with Labyrinth Zone - the most infamous level of this game - but died quit alot on Marble Zone and on some boss. I don't know if I have problem, but some of them killed me alot due to me not being patient, which is quit ironic. Every levels in general have some easy moment, some challenging moment, and some bull**** moment. (I say it now, I used save state because this game sometime show no mercy. I kid you not, the boss of Labyrinth Zone was a nightamre due to me saving the game with no rings and only 1 life. All I had was a shield and if I died, I couldn't continue because the version I have doesn't have continue. No, you go back straight to the beginning of the game. And honestly, I have much better **** to do that doing the whole game once more just because of hard boss that I finally beaten after alot of retry. So I do not feel ashame for that.:041:

But beside that, I can say that I had a great time with Sonic 1. This is definily not the best Sonic game ever. But honestly, I feel this game doesn't deserve the title of the weakest Classic Sonic game in the trilogy. That, I will see it later. But yeah, I give this game a Labyrinth Zone spear/10.

Next game, Sonic CD! Sonic 1.5 as I like to call it and the most controversial Classic Sonic game in the fanbase. Let's see if those claims are true!...Not today however, I'm tired.:224:

Flight beat Invisibility in the NA/PAL Splatfest.

So when can we get a name brand themed Splatfest outside of Japan, Nintendo?
To be fair Japan did it almost constantly before and most of them were pretty lame.

Heck, both of their exclusive Splatfests now were deals, and one is for the record company that did their soundtrack and the other is for McDonalds food.

The other regions took a while to get deals arranged, but when they finally did it was stuff like pop culture icons.

The west values quality over quantity when it comes to brand deals in Splatoon.

Next Splatfest should be Gravity Falls vs Steven Universe.

The fanbases would tear each other apart. It'd be a massacre.

And beautiful. :4ness:

Pokémon I wish were better:
  • Gen 1: :038: (It needs higher Special Attack/Special Defense, and it could be a decent Drought attacker.)
  • Gen 2: :202: (With higher Defenses, it could do its job better.)
  • Gen 3: Ludicolo (It has an interestingly wide movepool. Maybe make its Attack equal to its Special Attack.)
  • Gen 4: Mesprit (I'm not sure how to improve it, but I want it to be as good as Azelf.)
  • Gen 5: Golurk (It needs some good boosts to Health and Defense and it could make a good Physical wall.)
  • Gen 6: Tyrantrum (Another good recoil move would help it, plus more options for its many weaknesses.)
  • Gen 7: Palossand (Water Compaction could be a bit better if Palossand could actually take a Water attack. Why not just give it Water Absorb as an option?)
Luckily, Mesprit and Palossand are the only Pokémon in my top 15 who aren't at least UU (counting Mega Evolutions and Alolan Forms).

Pokémon I voted for that got in the top 5:
  • :038: (4th Fire)
  • :150: (4th Psychic)
  • Tyrantrum (5th Rock)
  • Darkrai (3rd Dark)
Gengar, Gardevoir, and Sceptile also placed in their types, but I voted for their Megas.

I also feel a little bit guilty, as I used the website to chart my least favorite Pokémon of each type, and I guess those votes were counted.

Seagull Joe posted this on twitter:

Even though I'm not a part of the competitive Smash Bros. community (yet), thought this would be fun!

1.) :4mario:
2.) :4fox::4ness:
3.) Lylat Cruise
4.) Either Umbra Clock Tower, Delfino Plaza, or Onett
5.) #KeepLylat
6.) Ally, Larry Lurr, FOW, Fatality, WaDi, Glutonny, and 6WX
7.) Ally defeating ZeRo at GOML 2016 in Grand Finals. Still brings a joyful tear to my eye lol
8.) Um....n/a
9.) Still have yet to attend a tournament. Plan on attending locals in my area soon though. Then move up from there if at all possible.
10.) N/A
11.) Wii Fit Trainer
12.) No. I haven't even become proficient at a tournament level with Mario yet xD Once I start placing well at local tournaments though, maybe.
13.) :4corrinf:...don't get me started.
14.) :4falcon:
15.) "Sexy~Beast"
16.) I love watching :4ness: x :4sheik: and :4mario: x :4luigi:
17.) Gamer tag I plan on using when attending tournaments one day is "Hat n' Clogs". Comes from the Bleach character; Kisuke "Mr. Hat n' Clogs" Urahara. Not a Bleach fan anymore, but I still remember the character fondly.
18.) I main Mario because his moveset works well with me, I grew up on the Mario games, Mario's fun to play since he's so well-rounded, and Italians are awesome.
19.) Haven't joined a scene yet. But, once I do, I'll be a part of the Pennsylvania scene and will thus be my favorite by default.
20.) N/A
Bonus.) Nope. I don't plan on becoming competitive in any game other than Smash 4. First tournament I plan on attending will be later this month.

I thought the Gravity Falls and Steven Universe fanbases were among some who were on friendlier terms with one and other.

Then again, a competition like that would probably still cause some uproar. :teeth:

I've been watching old videos of these major DBZ Youtubers and it's HILARIOUS Toriyama always does the opposite of what they predict

There will be no Evil Goku in Super - Immediately after that the Goku Black arc starts
There is no way Monaka is weak and just being used by Beerus to motivate Goku - Monaka is just a random delivery boy Beerus picked up and told Goku he was strong to motivate him.

Why do you want the NA version?
1. So I can read (Unless Xenoblade Chronicles 2 offers changing language like how Botw, I can wait.), it seems that it will be kind of like Splatoon 2 where you can't change language... I hope it won't be the case.
2. It still depends if they release Xenoblade Chronicles 2 special pack or something, I won't surprised if they released a Switch bundle in Japan.

I think February is better for releasing the new Fire Emblem game, but I could be totally wrong as well.
We'll have to wait for new Nintendo/Xenoblade direct to know. I think if we get a normal Nintendo Direct it could be 50% chance on time and 50% get delayed. If we are going to get a Xenoblade Direct this month or in October it will be 70% on time and 30% delayed.

I recently bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Switch Pro Controller, Splatoon 2 guide, and a Kaspersky software at my local Walmart. Man today I spend the most money since I came to USA...
Does Pro controller need to charge in order to sync with my Switch?
Oh yeah, I also add 20$ to my eshop account and was intended to buy Sonic Mania but found it it was less than 60 cent short due to taxes... so I downloaded the 10 dollar Shovel Knight Specter of Torment.
Let's hope I won't waste my remaining 300+$ of cash.

I don't think XC2 will be delayed. They've been saying 2017 rather confidently, and IIRC the music is nearing completion. Granted it is true gameplay doesn't always point to an immediate release, but Nintendo has really improved their pipeline.

Can confirm, XC2 only lists Japanese in the languages on the japanese eshop

I still haven't found a reason to make a Japanese account on my Switch. Either a language barrier or nothing that interests me are the reasons (mostly the latter).

Hard to believe it's less than two weeks until Metroid: Samus Returns comes out. I'm definitely planning to buy it as soon as I can - I have a Metroidvania itch that needs scratching, and I'm interested to see how they expanded on Metroid II. (I played through it before; it was all right, but it felt really clunky)

Decided to look back at the official Star Fox 64 strategy guide that has a Shigeru Miyamoto interview in it to see if Star Fox 2 was mentioned (the answer is yes).
Nintendo Power
"We saw Star Fox 2 for the Super NES several years ago, but it never came out. Did you use any ideas from that game in Star Fox 64?"

Shigeru Miyamoto
"We borrowed several ideas. All-Range Mode, Multi-Player Mode and the Star Wolf scenario all came from Star Fox 2. I'd say 60% of SF64 comes from the original games, 30% from SF2 and 10% is entirely new."
One problem with what Miyamoto said is that the mutiplayer mode is only available in the early prototype ROM and completely absent in both the late prototype ROM and the upcoming final release.

Plus I have to disagree a bit on his Star Fox 64 content ratio (I'd say less Star Fox 1 and more new content).
