Also the Dissidia beta actually got an update, it apparently fixed the softlock bug when matchmaking, and it might have improved the latency (hearing mixed reports on the latter though).

According to the FE Heroes datamine, a Support System is being added to the game under Advanced Growth.

Also people now think there could be an FE anime on the way due to a potential teaser on Lucina's artwork.

One hope for the FE anime is that it isn't an adaption of one of the games. Because games adapted to anime ever rarely work out. But then again so do original anime projects based on games like FF Unlimited

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say if there is an FE anime, it will be lossely based on FE Heroes.

Apparently it's a bit of a trend that successful mobile gacha games from Japan get an anime adaptation. Plus IMO it would be the most accessible format for an FE anime, it wouldn't require knowledge of the entire series and people who like some of the older characters based on seeing them in Heroes and not based on playing their games would be able to get into it.

I'd prefer an original setting and story but I'd do with an adaptation as long as it isn't Fates.

Or they could just go for the slice of life route where almost every episode is basically filler and they make episodes based on things like the Summer paralogues for the obligatory beach episode and such, which is probably what they will do if this anime is real.

I suppose now is a good time to remember that Nintendo also mentioned that the purpose behind them making potential anime adaptations is to strengthen and drive sales for games. Heroes seems like something perfect for that in regards to FE, unless they decide to make something tied to the new Switch game (which I would personally prefer and it could just be something small like FFXV Brotherhood).

It could be argued that an FE Heroes anime would be more successful than a typical gacha game adaptation due to featuring characters from a larger game series that has its own popularity, so it's audience isn't limited to players of FE Heroes itself. How good it would be would depend on what they do with the concept, but the potential is undeniably there. I mean, if they're making an FE anime, the first teaser came from FE Heroes, so it's definitely possible it would be based on that.

Nintendo have confirmed what we all knew was coming; the impending demise of Miiverse:

Basically, it says that Miiverse will be closed down at 3pm Japan time on November 11, and they will allow you to download an archive of your own posts before it closes. It also lists off all the games that will be affected (e.g. you won't see other people's messages in New Super Mario Bros. U any more), and says that Super Mario Maker course sharing won't be affected. It doesn't say if this is only for Japan, or worldwide, but I doubt they'll keep it up for the rest of the world after closing it in Japan.

Miiverse was an interesting experiment for Nintendo, and lead to some pretty funny memes. However I think Arlo brought up an interesting point that Nintendo realized they could use social media sharing as advertisements for their games, and limiting it to just console owners is missed potential. Hence why we didn't see a Miiverse successor for the Switch.

Some of the games losing features due to Miiverse shutting down is a major bummer though.

So if that Fire Emblem anime hint does pan out (they're being pretty deliberate with that cipher), I can see it as going one of four ways:

1. Fire Emblem Heroes anime - Gachas getting anime isn't unheard of and it's an easy way to cover the whole franchise.

2. Fire Emblem Awakening anime - If it's focused on one already-released game, I'm banking on Awakening. It and Fates were huge successes, but the latter has the three route issue complicating things. Awakening is already broken up into three acts anyway.

3. Pokémon Generations-styled shorts - These would cover major events from every game, but be much shorter in size.

4. Prologue Anime for Fire Emblem Switch - Kind of like the three Kid Icarus Uprising shorts or the Star Fox Zero animation, but acting as a prologue for the Switch title.

That is true, it wouldn't be out of character to simply announce without anything to show.

I definitely agree that holiday 2019 is the latest, although now that they have Pokemon for their holiday title every year, they might release it before the holidays. Or they may want to have 2 big holiday titles. Or Pokemon might take a break that year, who knows.

So you're in the camp that Nintendo won't release a Smash 4 Deluxe, but rather Smash 5? Because I myself to don't see the former happening.

I used to think they would release a ported Smash 5 but it looks like that's not happening now if they haven't done it already.

For them to have waited this long means that a new Smash game is defiantly on the horizon.

She's -HP +Res which isn't that best but at least her important stats weren't screwed over.
