It sounds like there isn't a new game coming with this landslide of new figures, and that they are all just meant for the original game as a huge expansion for it.

Just looking at what Atlus has up on the future, it takes down a bit of what would be those 27.
Persona 5, SMT 4: Final, and Vanillaware's upcoming game of 13 Sentinels.

And of course, we know 2 sonic games in the form of Fire & Ice and the big Anniversary title. Which may count as multiple if, like Generations/Unleashed/Colors it has multiple unique versions.

That's at least 5 of the 27.
