Curious thing: The infamous Chinese leak had actually said Ash-Greninja's transformation would be caused by "logo diamonds" and today we learned that is not the case.

It doesn't kill the leak obviously, but thought it was funny that they got that wrong.

It's never too late to play it and you can have double the fun trying to beat both games this semester. Pokemon Bank is a thing, so you can have both your 6th Gen and 3rd Gen Pokemon ready to import in the upcoming 7th Gen titles. It's definitely worth it if you want to see Gen 3 like you've never seen it before (Inb4 7.8 too much water).

How'd you get through the game, I barely got through the forest that had flying and bug pokemon

Sinnoh

Regions where I liked Two of the Three Starters:
Kanto (Charizard aside), Hoenn (Blaziken aside), Unova (Serperior aside), Kalos (Delphox aside), Alola (Beltigre aside, design-wise)

Regions where I only liked One Starter:
Johto (Literally only like Typhlosion, sorry Feraligatr fans and Meganium fan)



Luckily there wasn't a region where I hated all three. Based on this, I'd rank Sinnoh the best, Johto the worst.

I don't dislike any of the starters, though. I like most and am neutral towards the rest.

The results would be different if we were actually ranking the basic forms of the starters.

Disclaimer: Saying I didn't like a starter doesn't mean I hate them...

Alola starters are somewhere between all three and two tbh...we'll see where they rank after actually using them (and whether or not they get alternate forms)...but noticing they may be based on Cryptids has made me like them a lot more...

In gen 1 I like them all, w/ Blastoise - Venusaur - Charizard in that order

in gen 2 I like Typhlosion and Feraligatr but usually don't pick Feraligatr so I can get shiny Gyarados

in gen 3 I actually like all the starters

in gen 4 I like all the starters, w/ Empoleon - Torterra - Infernape in that order

in gen 5 ...I don't really like any of them. Though Serperior looks the best and with his hidden ability he's the best. Emboar is the second best and Samurott's ok.

in gen 6 I like Greninja and Chesnaught, with Greninja being my favorite by far of the 3. I hate Delphox

Basically, I mostly use water starters, I often use grass if I don't use water, and I don't often even like the fire starters

Gen 1 is good.
Venusaur and Blastoise are unique and Charizard, while unoriginal, doesn't blow it for me

Gen 2 sucks like wow what where they smoking when designing them.

Gen 3 is decent but Swampert doesn't make sense. One of the best starter groups.

Gen 4 is very basic, but that makes them very good

Ew gen 5 why do you exist

Gen 6 was good but pretty lopsided to grennies side

So as ranking:

Gen 4
Gen 1 = Gen 3
Gen 6
Gen 5
Gen 2 (Gratarl is the only decent one and even then it's just a blue-colored croc.)
