So with the rumors of the NX being revealed before TGS, is the September 14th reveal date hinted by Etika plausible now?
I think it is. Would also be a smart move by Nintendo because going in to TGS and all these gaming events in the Fall all everyone is going to be talking about is the NX and what kind of games the platform will have.
I hope with rumors flying around that people don't get upset if Nintendo doesn't reveal it before TGS.
. . .Oh who am I kidding, of course they'll get upset. People are practically looking for reasons to at this point.
The 14th gives things a week for PS Neo hype to cool off, so I'm borderline on that. It's definitely not Fall, though, and Nintendo said they were revealing it in Fall.
Like I said before, it would be safest to expect it to be anywhere between September 22nd and late October. Any earlier isn't Fall, any later has to compete for attention with the holiday season. That way there's no disappointment when they inevitably don't show off the NX when everyone is expecting them to out of desperation for news, but at the same time it's not nearly as bad as the overdramatic statements about the NX being postponed indefinitely or released the day it's revealed that some people on other sites have been making.
Plus IIRC Nintendo wasn't doing much at TGS and third parties already have the A-OK to show that their multiplat games are going to be on NX. Just because Nintendo hasn't rolled things out yet doesn't mean we won't find out about any new NX games there, it just means we won't see any exclusives. And Nintendo probably wants to show off the exclusives during their own unveiling, anyway.
